love your hobonichi haul, and I hope you enjoy the weeks! I've been trying it out as a health techo myself, and love the size. thank you for sharing the Nolty 1180 too, which I am so glad to know about ~ I was wondering which Nolty techos could fit the passport size, and I'd not yet seen this one with that amazing weekly layout with the grid which I am loving! I'd tried a different Nolty techo this year (my first) with the gantt chart weekly, which didn't quite work for me, so I'm excited to see the 1180
It's great to know that the Weeks is working well for you as a health journal! The Nolty 1180 is so cute and I'm looking forward to having a passport TN size planner in regular rotation next year. Thank you for watching!
I bought the Nolty 1180 to use in my travelers passport size notebook along with Sterling Ink passport size notebook. Will use nolty for appointment in monthly and running tasks lists in weekly section. The Sterling Ink will be used as a journal. I have stayed away from hobonichi for 3 years now since I can never use up all the grid space in the back and like changing up my weekly format every now and then. The nolty gives me more flexibility to change formats on a weekly basis. Hopefully you can stick with this new planner for the coming year. 😊
Additional note, I bought travelers notebook cover on AliExpress without the metal clasp on the back as I get annoyed with scratch marks on table tops. The cover that has no clasp was big enough for the nolty to slide in with cover page, no need to take nolty out of its cover. You might want to experiment with that. It was big enough to fit the 200+ page of Sterling Ink TN passport size notebook too. Or if you want a slimmer EDC the regular 64 page refill notebook with do good for 3-4 months of journaling.
The weekly layout in the Nolty 1180 is the most interesting part of it for me, so I hope to make use of it throughout next year to log daily details and thoughts! Appreciate the tip you shared about other cover. I actually quite like the notebook without the default Nolty cover because it reminds me of MD notebooks - I'll probably decorate the front and back myself and use it with a Traveler's Company TN. Thanks for watching the video!
fascinating choice @ 10:26! so is it basically a mini daily log that's like your weekly vertical from this year, but condensed and the spillover goes to the TNs? enjoyed this video!
Essentially, yes! Right now some daily details randomly make it into the Plotter (personal planner) or Hobonichi A6 (health journal), and I find that I flip through both of those when I'm catching up on my weekly memory-keeping spreads. Next year, I want to simplify the process a bit by taking quick notes in the Nolty, then pulling topics from there to journal about more in length in the regular TN using one of the many blank/new inserts I have. Thank you for watching!
I managed to get mine through Amazon US (link in description box) and somehow it shipped from Japan! I don't know if other Nolty styles are available in this way, though. I think Kinokuniya USA stores may stock them - I'm hoping to check out a few stores in upcoming weeks!
What a lovely cover. The nolty looks like it will be an ideal fit for you.
Thank you! I really like the simple and open weekly layout.
Love your no-frills review. Very easy to watch and appreciate. I've subscribed and hope to see more of your videos!
Thank you so much for the kind words!

I'm getting the same weeks! when I saw this cover, I knew this is the one I wanted.
Yes, same here - that's how I felt! Hope you enjoy using it next year!

Lovely! I really am intrigued by the nolty but it’s definitely not easily accessible if not in Japan 😅

I bought the 1180 for 2025. I’m still deciding what I want to do with it
I'm still using mine this year for quick daily highlights! It's a great size to carry around for on-the-go notes, too. Hope you find a fun use for it!
What type of paper does the nolty have
I believe Nolty uses their own proprietary paper, but I've found it holds up to fountain pens and watercolor quite well!
Is this passport or moleskine pocket size?
Hi there, I use the Nolty 1180 in a passport size traveler's notebook cover!
