I like to imagine boba sanding, taking, and painting his armor when he got it back
I can’t wait to give this a try! A definite improvement over the original and the original was already great!
I like the green for the back of the helm, but I prefer to go with Rustolium deep forest since that seems to have the same effect your going for.
thanks for the shoutout dude! also never thought about heating up the stringy bits inside the dome to flatten them, but I usually just glue my padding over that anyways since I'm lazy and no one will see it lol

Honestly, that tip for not putting the supports under the dome and just heating up the strings is genius. That will definitely save hours off my next helmet print

I absolutely love these videos and I got to say a major thank you for the resin idea I use to use filler and sand for about a week now I only spend an hour or 2 sand
You guys should really try sanding the raw print with some 80g first, it'll significantly cut down your post processing.

My first helmet with your designs came out awesome. Due to time constraints and not wanting to pony up for a mouse sander, I hand sanded mine. I got a lot of compliments at cons and on Halloween. Thanks for your tutorials.

Montana Black = Matte
Montana Gold = Semi Gloss
Montana White = Gloss
Both black and gold are matte, but white is gloss yes

Do you put resin on the inside of the helmet or the range finder? I see it's a darker grey later in the video. Did you srayer the filler on it? Thanks

from everything I've seen this is the fastest method for sanding. if I wanted a more glossy coat, should I just skip the truck bed coat? not making a boba fett, more of a custom to my personallity manalorian costum.

Does the visor press up against your nose. It does for me and is kinda uncomfortable after a bit. I also had to put pads in it cause my first one was too big.
It does but that's just the price I pay for having a big head

Is one type of resin better than another. I’m using an eco friendly one that doesn’t smell and I use a ivy box overnight and it’s still a little tacky but it sands easily
I don't believe it matters but I haven't thoroughly tested it
Just started binging your series yesterday! Think I’m going to attempt a rearmored fett, since I just got a 3D printer! Probably going for a happy medium between Mando and Book of Boba Fett, leaning more towards Book of Boba Fett though.
Same, I like the silver bits on book of boba armor but the colors on the mandalorian armor look nicer

Would you recommend the UV flashlight you use?
Also, how did you determine your new colors? This has been one of my biggest struggles with Boba. I probably have 10 different 'greens' that I tried. I ended up going with Rust-Oleum Hunter Club Green for the body and RO Hunter Green for the cheeks.

Great video. I ended up using the same paints and yellow frog tape but it left some residue. Any recommendations on how to remove it without damaging the paint?
Just do it and damage the paint 😂 it’ll match the boba battle damage vibe
