The scale is ignored. There is only one financial hub, which is NYC. If you look at the transaction volume and the variety of financial products, there is no other city that could come close. London is a far second, but the scale of the operation is around one third of NYC.
this is a big question I have in my mind... Think about it, when aiming to become a CEO or an MD in an investment bank (with sufficient experience and other qualifications like MBA), does the first degree they completed have an impact? The reason I'm asking this is that most CEOs of investment banks have been economics majors and other majors like STEM and art too, and none of them seem to have been finance majors. Why is that? Can't finance graduates become CEOs in investment banking? Is there a better positive demand of these majors than finance?
Barcelona, and Madrid are irrelevant because the Spanish economy is irrelevant. Paris is a smaller hub than london and Frankfurt and dubai is mostly sales
I will put San Francisco at the bottom of the list. Several of my friends actually came out of San Francisco. They say they kept on standing on human feces everywhere they went so no thanks also you missed Tokyo along with Dubai
Toronto should absolutely be on this list. Smaller than NYC, but similar in stature.
Very true
But the pay is not that good in Toronto considering the cost of living
@@scottishboy872 why
Where is London?
Geneva or Zurich

Would love to hear your thoughts on Dubai and how it differs from other cities especially with how there is no tax.

You haven't mentioned UAE - Dubai... More vibrant and financial hub of middle east...

They are just on place 16 regarding the size as financial center....
Actually it is an emerging financial hub.
