As someone looking for financial freedom in my future this looks like genuine helpful advice. I just want to have a job that pays enough to live comfortably so I can work on my business ideas. It’s nice that I can have something to work towards now at 18 as many people like me don’t have a path chosen yet. Thank you for helping!
@@Aanya8263 I’d like to think so. It has a very high income ceiling but that’s not even what I’m looking for. I think it’s the best backup career for me because my end goal is freedom from work and the salary will definitely aid me while working towards that goal.
I have no degree in Accounting and in a unplanned career as Finance Manager, I do a lot of analysis, GL accounting etc and closing month end, this is very informative as i like to progress in my analytical skills. Thank you

In terms of compensation, financial analysts are paid way better than accountants. And about job security, I think financial analysts are at an advantage. Accounting jobs are mostly clerical in nature in most companies and can be replaced by ai in future. But financial analyst role requires more decision making , human judgements etc. So there is less chance to be replaced by ai. But remember, job security depends upon constant updation of skills, especially in private sector. Government jobs are more secure than private sector. And talking about work life balance, well, WLB and finance jobs doesn't go along together in most cases. You need to work long hours for most finance jobs. But it also depends upon the companies too. Between financial analyst and accountant, I think accountant have better work life balance. And again, if you value WLB more, i recommend you try to get a government job in finance roles.
Hey Brian, there can be several reasons why you struggle with the job hunting process. Here's an article we wrote on the topic: 365financialanalyst.com/career-advice/how-to-get-a-finance-internship-with-no-experience/
Hello Sir In order to be a financial analyst, do you need to have a deep understanding of GL accounting processes and procedures, I mean practical exposure?
Hi there! To excel as a financial analyst, a thorough understanding of GL accounting processes and procedures can be incredibly beneficial, providing a solid foundation in financial principles. While practical exposure enhances your ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, it's not the only path to becoming proficient. Continuous learning and adapting to new financial tools and concepts are also key. Engaging with platforms like 365 Financial Analyst can complement your knowledge, whether you're deepening your existing expertise or branching into new areas of financial analysis.
