For those items where you love the packaging, but not necessarily the product, how about putting them in a shadow box (you could get one where the glass is in a frame that opens so you can access what’s inside for when you want to play with them). Then you could see them all the time, they’d no longer be clutter, and you’d have something cute to hang on your walls or in the background of your ring light shoots.

Stuff thats only kept for pckaging is usually not used anyway. But if it was me, i wouldnt keep things i dont like just because of packaging. If i love the product, and love the packaging, i will use it pretty much daily though.
Some things keep longer than their appointed shelf life. The number is there for legal reasons. Fluids with a pump should keep longer if stored the right way. Same with powders, stuff in tubes. If you keep the things in a cool, dark environment and use clean tools it should be fine. Obviously don't use it if it changed smell, texture or colour. But I don't think blindly decluttering products because their shelf life is over is the way to go unless you have things you like better.

Love watching a good declutter video 😻. I have a storage container full of old makeup that I am going to reuse for painting/art . I can’t bring myself to throw all the beautiful pigments away knowing I can put them on canvas 🎨.

Cassie I have just done a major declutter, the only products I have kept is my Estée Lauder and Charlotte Tilbury every other items I have decluttered to my family but I still have a 9 drawer Alex unit . But that includes only my makeup . I have another 9 drawer Alex unit for my skin care which again is mostly high end products , but I feel better with all my decluttered products have gone it’s a relief at least my family can enjoy . Last night all my lipsticks which were not either Charlotte tilbury or Estée Lauder collections , the others were donated also the colours I like I will repurchase from Charlotte or Estée so I have a nice core collection , but I have a special drawer for my collection of Estée Lauder and the collaboration with Victoria Beckham, that collection cost a fortune even just to look at they are stunning all gold and black leather packaging , really stunning but they give me pleasure some items I have more than one being a limited additions ., some I use mostly every day really beautiful. Would I do it again oh my gosh no I would be selective but I enjoy my items which I truly love !
i went to Walgreens and picked up the wet and wild rose' in the air palette and it was the last one. used my rewards points and paid $2 for it....maybe with your moms old make up try repressing a favorite of yours into it so you can reuse the paackaging and keep the sentiment.
I've heard that Walmart is clearancing that but I checked one of my Walmarts and everything else was on sale but not the bronzer or blush! My cousin bought the butter bronzer and I've been dying for it after smelling hers 😍
The pure nude highlighter absolutely must be used on the face to appreciate it and it’s one you can PACK ON and it NEVER looks crazy! It’s amazeballs!!!
That revlon blush in oh baby pink is really nice for beginners but it doesn't show up in swatches at all. If you wear foundation it does show up (it won't if you go bare face) and it's soft enough that you can build build build and it looks blended and never over done. It's kind of magic, but also a little boring maybe because it's so easy. I don't think it would show up well on anyone over NC25 though. Worth trying out though.
my favorite way to apply the essence (and most highlighters for that matter) is with a damp sponge. the pure nude highlighter is my absolute favorite for minimal make up days!
I just looked on my ULTA app... they do still have the taupe blush. I never knew about it... I've been paying a small fortune for taupe shadow singles for contouring. I will DEFINITELY test it on my channel. THANK YOU!
Haha. Not sure if you are talking about the so taupe blush from NYX, but if so I just reordered it again. Still a HG product for both an eye crease color and contour shade years later. It's the best ofher than LA Girls blush which is more fair

And I just really wanna do a special thank you because I am someone from Hawaii but am currently in California for school, so I didn’t get the notification of that awful mistake, but all of my family and friends did. So after my panic attack while trying to find out if it was a real missile while also possibly saying goodbye to my home, I finally found out they were wrong, and just stayed in my dorm, binge watching all your videos because they are what help calm me down. You should do a video where you get a personal color analysis done! It's super helpful for makeup because you find out which tones harmonize the best with your coloring. It shows you which level of saturation, level of contrast, and which hues work best on you. You actually see the different effects on your skin tone as the analyst flips through different colors. That would be the coolest thing to see as you have interesting coloring!
Honestly I feel that since you have the tarte blush pallets you don't need to keep the single ones. Of course if they are different then it's another thing.

The mini Goulue is way better quality then the one in the palette. I have both and compared when I decluttered my blushes. The palette one almost has no pigment! Great declutter Cassie. You did really well.

Why don’t you make a display of items that you find pretty and/or that have sentimental value? You could see them more frequently & get more joy than having them stuck in a drawer, and it will be easier to see the products you actually like to use. Just a thought. I’ve been working on decluttering my life (becoming more minimal). I’ve found it helpful to put things I find joy in where I can see them frequently!
Loved the video! I couldn't help but be a little jelous of the cat. I miss having a cat so much!!!!! I've always had cats....untill I married a man that was allergic. Now I'm stuck with two ( crazy I might add) puppies from the same litter. They re five months old and oh my gosh they are so different from cats! Cats are so chill. If I put all my makeup on the floor with these dogs...forget it 😂 all my stuff would be chewed! They re also teething so I'm sure that doesn't help. Anyway...I really enjoy all your videos. Mostly the insane lipstick colors, eyeliners I don’t ever use, etc. I admit, I didn’t get rid of any of my blushes, bronzers, highlighters, or contour products. Except two bronzers I depotted a while ago because they’re shimmery AF. And I don’t do shimmery bronzer.

The essence highlighter is gorgeous on the face,arm swatches don't do a justice!
Most of the darker blushes and highlighters would make great eyeshadow. I always do that when I buy a wrong colour....
