Ok, I'm 100% convinced I need this one, especially since I live in Hawaii. But now I'm dying to know.. what ARE Donovan's other top 2 dragon fruits other than Ohana Express? How about you Tye?
Some new hybrids we recently introduced and will be introducing this year are really good, like Connie Gee, Queen Daenerys, and 1-1 (which does not have a name yet). They all made the 21 club (21+ brix)
I hopped on the waiting list as soon as i could. I have a green house set up here in Northern California. Where I live it never really gets that cold and never goes below 50 degrees outside (on average). I figure with a green house and proper attention to detail they should grow well in the area I have ready. Looking forward to growing these as well :)
Dang now I gotta get that one! Good to hear its a nice flavor! Gonna be watching the site and driving over to get that one soon as I see it up on the site!
Hello...Do you know anything about the Veltzen Dragon Fruit Hylocereus-its Red flesh that's all I know about it...also Hylocereus Triangularis- I think it's just another night blooming cactus...I have both & can't really find any info on either one...thanks again Buddy
Not sure about Veltzen, where did you acquire it? It could be a cultivar named after someone. H. Triangularis is a known species of Dragon Fruit. We are growing it and will have more information on our website.
The smallest DF fruit I'll grow is Thomson 8S. Now called the "sugar dragon" for marketing purposes. Marketing names seem to be more important than taste, growth habit, etc. now.

Always nice to see/hear from DF friends! All the best!

Nice video guys! :)
When they come back in stock will there be very many of them? Will there be larger sized cuttings? Can't wait to get my hands on this variety!
We are likely going to keep all of them at 15" to get as many out as possible. We hope to issue two dozen on the next release.
@@Spicyexotics I'm really happy to hear that. Was it going to come back in stock this week? Thanks, Tye!
What’s a good variety for Hawaii it’s hot and dry where I am and water by hand.Mahalo.
Just about any variety will do well in Hawaii

@@Spicyexotics Florida Hill Nursery...all of their plants are tissue culture...I got it just for the hell of it & wondering if it was a new variety?
Hey Ty do you have the Ohana Variety available now?Bought a Haley’s Comet from you awhile ago looking good no fruit yet. Thanks Ty
Within 3 to 4 weeks some should be avaialble
Tenho uma muda que eu acho que e esta variedade chama desert king e tem outra parecida mas porem maior ,orange do hawaí
Tye can you let me know when there available Mahalo
We are adding more inventory this week and Ohana Express is on the list.
Who was the grower in Hawaii? What island? Mahalo
They prefer to not make this public information.
How did you come up with that name for the Ohana variety?
It was given by the creator, not us.
Have you ever tried desert king? If so, which one do you prefer?
We have not collected Desert King nor have we tried it.
@@Spicyexotics Another question, are there any low sugar varieties that retain a nice flavor? Or any very acidic varieties?
@@edgarbernal1831 Some red and whites flesh varieties have lower sugar. Red flesh usually have a firm higher acidity.
@@Spicyexotics Doesn't Ohana Express come from Desert King seeds, so it would be very close to DK?
@@PaulDeRossiAustralia It is a DK seedling, so it gets around 60% of its genetics from DK.
Will you all be in stock soon
Yes, this week
Spicy Exotics thank you

Year two fruit of OE was twice the size compare to year one. I would say bigger than the S8 clones.
Out of stock?
They haven't restocked yet. I'm guessing it'll be there soon.
yup... i was looking for a bunch..
