I have been painting watercolor a bit over a year. Currently using good quality synthetic brushes....mostly Princeton Co & Silver Brush Limited Co. I want to purchase red sable RosemaryCo round brushes but having difficulty deciding what series to buy (series 22, series 8, series 99 or series 33). Can you make a recommendation and/or tell me which series RosemaryCo round brushes you own and why you chose them. Only interested in the round brush at this point in time. Thank you so much

That's very neat, having them at actual size. I know the mop video is coming up, but (being new to watercolors) what difference is a mop to another brush? Is it just for wetting the paper?
Also, do you have any preferences between brush hair types? I've always liked the red sables, because they feel stiffer even wet, and was wondering about kolinsky brushes because I've heard that about them as well. I can't stand a brush just flopping when wet! >_

Victoria Vidaud Hi Victoria, I'm no expert but I think mops are generally more versatile. They hold a lot of water (and paint) so it's easy to do washes and fill large spaces but you can also use the tip to make finer lines/details. If I want a stiff watercolour brush synthetic is usually what I go for. I have a Kolinsky sable travel brush and the squirrel hair mop (video is just uploading now!) which I also love using but they don't spring back as well as synthetic. You'll see what I mean when you see me test the mop brush :)

A travel mop, I'm envious! I'd love to try their brushes but the shipping is as much as the price of the brush, so I'll wait and save up a bit more :) I love that the brushes pictures in the catalog are actual size.

Eve Bolt - Bolt's Vault Oh no! It's frustrating when that happens. The whole reason I was looking for a mop brush was because I wanted one I'd seen in a RUclips video but the shop was uniquement français ;)

Haha, I could help with that ;)
Do you happen to remember the name of the shop?

Eve Bolt - Bolt's Vault I do yes, it was dalbe.fr but they only ship within France :(

Oh, too bad. But it's always fun to check it out regardless, they have all these brands that I've not seen outside of French shops, like Bréhat and Lefranc & Bourgeois.

Yes I was very curious about the Brehat watercolours! I wonder if they are any good!
