Thank you for feeling my pain. Did it in the driveway on my back. I didn’t disconnect the compressor.I pushed it to the back against the exhaust pipe . I had to loosen the motor mount and Jack the motor up. Friggin nightmare.
Big difference having a lift opposed on your back.. Looks easier from the top opposed from underneath. On my back I preferred taking the alternator out. The only thing I would have done differently was to remove the subframe bolt out on that side and pried on the subframe too
Did you loosen the subframe? to pry the frame? You did not mention the subframe.. I have mine on a jack not on a rack and I wont be able to move the subframe

I did not loosen the subframe. Everything stayed in place. I just used the subframe as a solid point to pry the engine upwards to gain clearance.
How did you get to the top driver side bolt on the ac compressor?
