@@warloshernandez You need a dingwall bass in addition to a dark glass product to be able to get this exact tone. trying to process an ibanez bass, for example, to get this exact tone is almost impossible.
@@jacob7225 the most important part of the equation are a pack of fresh strings, really. you can have the best set up bass and the most expensive signal chain and it'll sound dead with old strings. he also pops them against the frets kinda hard actually which gives a very brilliant tone.

And that's the quality content we all truly deserve! BTW, the tone is absolutely THICC. My ears are begging for mercy every time I hit replay button, and I hit that A LOT, I should say. @@NGRFT funk fingers. Check out Tony Levin using them. I'm pretty sure Jacob said his tone is from parallax on these playthroughs, but yea, darkglass will get you most of the way but it's hard to replicate that dingwall tone. Getting one was a game changer for me.
yeah this is a great tone. im not trying to promote, but nolly has a really great tone just like this (the bassist from periphery). he also uses dingwall bass. chekc out prayer position bass play through. which i think is pretty key in this tone. dingwall makes a really really great sounding bass for almost all aspects imo. i've been an intervals fan since epiphany. they are an excellent band. the lead guitarist is super unique. ok i'm done ranting. bye.
