About the no scram in the fit, they did have 3 neutral logis on the field, i would not have killed anything on my own anyway and i'd rather cost them more time with 2 ECM, i didn't think the cap would be this weak though.
I know it has been a while, but I am curious what sort of defensive fit you think is more effective these days? I know they have since removed the "bombs" from medium stations. My corpmate is going to be dropping a raitaru soon and we want to be prepared to fit it with proper defenses as soon as it's up. Recommendations from someone experienced would be most welcome.
Nodjia the fit of the structure really doesn't matter the standard missile launcher neuts scram and tp is fine but the only way to repel an attack is to have decent dps sniper battleships on station I use 4 186km 1300 dps battleships
@Ville, 99% of the time that won't matter, though. Neutral reps are a thing and go without serious risk mostly because it relies on someone neutral and pvp fit to be there for it to be even a risk. And that's assuming that neutral (actual neutral) party will then actually engage.
Yes, which is why they were being careful and not repping. But the third party would need to be able to break the guardian reps so unless a passing gang happens to notice its not a problem.

my former alliance did this for daily job: find targets in hisec with structures, wardec them, destroy structures and enjoy loot and salvage. you need to have a defense fleet at all times. you were lucky that they didn't come like 15-20 ppl like we did.
a bit late for this advice, but.... good advice in general: find a way on your screen to have your local window much taller than it is in this video. mine, for instance, shows 42-43 names at once and is almost as high as my monitor resolution allows (I have it start right under the system info/route). You mentioned early on in the video that you saw a bunch of reds in local but I'm not sure how. the entire time you can only see the top 8 or so people in local and none of the people attacking you are in that list... and you don't scroll down. I have another window with chat channels + my d-scan and my probe scanner all blocking my view of the chat portion of my tall local window, with the list of pilots in system visible to the right side of all those other things. Local is a valuable source of intel, don't restrict it by making it so tiny!
Its almost like its an engineering complex or some such, maybe if we had access something designed for combat/defence. I reckon they'd call them citadels or something.
Man, it's almost as if it would make more sense to be allowed to equip more weapons to these industrially and economically significant targets, rather than the citadels which are basically just space shanty towns that have no economic value and only serve the tactical purpose of providing a staging point.

You should drop the missiles next time, neuts and ECM are generaly great force multipliers for defense fleets but neither citadels nor indu plexes can defend themselves effectively. Poke me if you want, I'll bring some nasties to help out on the second timer if it's not in the middle of the night :)
they weren't repping them. they were there in case they had to rep. Guardians can't rep from 250km. Presumably, if warping off the Vindis that got deep into armor to rep and come back had been affecting their DPS too adversly, they would have considered having the Guardians warp down closer (or possibly they would have just warped up to the Guardians, either way). Or maybe they were just a trump card against a defense fleet showing up (which didn't for that timer, at least).
put one ecm each on two of the guardians, and put dps and scram on the third to breaks their logi chain and stop them repping each other. you have to get logi off the field first
Tell everyone they're at war with where they'll be; might be what they're hoping for but it should be interesting either way. If you could get scram you'd have had a chance of costing them at least.

I joined a neighbor corp did not even know they where a neighbor till watching this video and recognizing the name DITAL . Since people can leave a ship and a clone in this station why not just have a bunch of friends leave ships here and leave there Skype number so you can call in the cavalry when needed . And the structure is still there so they did not succeed in killing it . I understand your name is delonewolf is that your in game name as well ? . And in a game such as eve I think its always good to have friends that can watch your back .
You should have a web/point in the mids for hs forcing them to use logi becasue with low skills in structure stuff your cap will die to fast to be effective, but thats just my 2-cents

Nope you need to be at war as well. But if their neutral logi rep someone at war they go suspect and anyone can shoot them so even as a neutral it is worth being around in these situations. One neutral Rook for example can neutralise 2 or 3 neutral logis if set up right. The armour timer passed safely anyway, i went and had a look and the Raitaru are both back on normal timers so the war deccers need to attack shield again if they want to do anything. The probably just did it for exposure, killing citadels is not that alliances normal style.
They can't be repped, if they could it would be broken since damage is capped. If you do rep someone/something in a war you get a suspect timer and anyone can shoot you.
its automatic, if a structure is destroyed the stuff in it goes through asset safety and can be recovered from the nearest npc station in the same type of space (hs, ls, 00)
He needs to equip a warp scram on his structures. Even if the Guardians had repped the other ships, they would have become suspect and could have been held down and shot at by the structure, in addition to anyone else that might have wandered by.
I have not played for a long long time. And I must say that EVE gone mad. Structure (!) have problems with capacitor (!). "Docking permission requested. Not enough energy to open docking bay, pls, wait for a while". The concept of structure that have 24 hour shield for reinforce but is uncapable of non stop supplying ECM is ridiculos.

players should start a petition to have HS war decs not be possible. If the game makers don't comply then the players quit the game. I rarely play the game because of war decs. That's a loss of money to the game makers.
So take away from this, a POS is far better for idie guys that need a research platform. Or if you want flexibility. Or if you get attacked. Or if you want a structure that can actually kill things.
I know POSes aren't going away until after drilling platforms. So hopefully they'll do something there or some other "small tower in the middle of nowhere" type structure indies can use. I think if they tried to phase POSes out without a decent replacement it'd rock the markets.
I've since moved from my POS to a Azbel because there's one 2 jumps from me and it's easier to manage jobs. The POS bonuses in every single manufacturing category were better.
Yeah... about that. POSes are getting neutered bit by bit starting this summer. They want everyone into the new structures ASAP. Outposts can't be put up as of December, they'll be converted to Fortizars later... POSes will be defunct in a matter of months. Citadels, Engineering Complexes, and (soon) Refineries are the only way to structure it up soon.
It's crazy that such a large structure can be taken down by just a handful of ships.

Give information of when the next timer is for armor and lets setup a fleet to defend the structure.
Warp scrambler is a must in a structure like this - lesson learned.

The Capacitor is so weak, that's almost broken
It's the ECM. They eat through cap like a fat kid in a candy store.
also dont burn it past 30 odd % or you recharge it slower. there is a point of no return if you will. unless you leave it alone.
Also Raitaru has terrible cap, even with max skills. 2 ECM is very cap hungry. Your Structure timer will be next Friday if it happens, not Sunday.

I didn't see the icon above your Cap meater to show you being neuted. Maybe the ECM is draining cap?

you can't neut a structure. you had no cap because the ECM module is extremely cap hungry.

the damage from tower missiles on a big battleship is fckin pathetic and embarrasing. if 4 battleships can take a Raitaru I wont be putting one up.
