  • In a joint project with our friends at This Is Flight, we bring you some of the best highlights of EAA AirVenture 2022 in Oshkosh, WI!
Look for all of the traditional Oshkosh features - massive warbird formations, unique and rare aircraft, and hundreds of arrivals at the world's busiest airport.
Airshow highlights include Jared Isaacman's privately-owned MiG-29 Fulcrum and the Polaris Dawn team, the Flight of the Cats bringing together four legendary Grumman fighter aircraft, twilight demonstrations by US Navy EA-18G Growlers, F-35C Lightning IIs, and the US Air Force's F-35A Lightning II, plus other military demos and Legacy/Heritage Flights throughout the week.
Airliners played a larger role at AirVenture 2022, with demonstrations by a Delta Airlines A330, United Airlines 777, and the Boeing 777 ecoDemonstrator. Other cutting-edge developmental aircraft include the Perlan glider, Blackfly EVTOL, and Electric EEL. Enjoy multiple warbird performances throughout the week, and go inside the pyro field with the Tora Bomb Squad for a special vantage point on the action.

I was there for only two days. It was amazing. The best event by far I have ever gone to. And I CAN'T wait to go next year for two reasons. 1. I'll be there all week and 2. F22 Raptor Demonstration team. Which I'll be seeing not just at Oshkosh next year.

I went to this show as a kid and I felt so incredibly lucky to have seen the Concorde fly for one of the last times. If I remember correct, a couple either got married on the plane or celebrated their marriage on the plane. I need to get back to the EAA airshow against soon, hopefully with my sons.

After watching the entire video I have more to add. The black Cessna Skymaster also belongs to Dan. The blue and white camo L-39 flies out of Traverse City, Michigan and has been at our Fremont, Mi. EAA Pancake Breakfast. My model airplane club has RC jet events at the Baldwin, Mi. airport and this same L-39 has flown in for a demo. Oops, just noticed that you have a separate video featuring the Traverse City jets. 🤣

Yeah, that F35a was unbelievably loud... The flybys would turn and direct the thrust at the crowd with an overwhelming volume. I complained to EAA about the absurd volumes and how it could impact hearing abilities... Especially to kids whose parents didn't think to have noise protection. And it was just flybys, no spectacular maneuvers.
