I wish this channel had existed when I started to learn Turkish a few years ago. It is definitely a treasure for those who are after online materials for learning Turkish. Way back when I started getting involved with Turkish the available material online was scarce and often contained contradictory information and satisfying explanation about grammar or the usage of certain words was practically non-existent. So I wish I could put this channel into a time machine and send it back to some 6-7 years earlier. It would have spared me a lot of trouble and embarrasing moments. 😁 Since then I have reached a very decent level in Turkish and I’m about to finish my PhD dissertation in Turkish but I still love watching these videos. Actually each video feels like a virtual pat on the back because they make me realise how much I have progressed during these years. I guess what I am trying to say is that I wish the best of luck for those who have recently started to learn Turkish and a million thanks to those who put effort in making these videos. Emeğinize sağlık. İlerideki videoları merakla bekliyorum. 🤓
Can you tell us something about how you learned turkish? I learn turkish since one year and feel a bit stucked - for example i can express a lot of things but actuall conversations are very hard becouse i often dont understand the answere of my counterpart and have to ask him to repeat in other words 3 or 4 times so we often fall back into german or english language. i know this is a question of disciplin but most commonly i either meat my turkish friends with others so i dont want to take all the time or i meet them to write some text for them or discuss something with them so turkish costs much more time to achive the acutall goal. By now i am - I started learning with duolingo - but i passed through all levels and think i dont make any progress with it anymore. - I also have a box of vocabulary and fill up some vocabulary every few days from watching youtube-videos for example or reading a turkish online article (first try to understand myself - then google translate and compare with the actuall turkish sentence) - Also i watch those youtube videos sometimes (your right turkishle is the best video channel i found by now becouse you realy learn about the context of the words and how to use them in acutall conversations) - And i just started watching some turkish series with english or german subtitles but i have the feeling as if it doesnt help me much becouse i cant rly listen and try to understand the spoken turkish while reading the subtitles - often turkish needs less words then english so you have to read the subtitles pretty fast. - I try to make every WhatsApp Conversation with turkish friends in turkish language becouse i have enough time to think about my sentences - And of course i try speaking with my friends or listen to them speaking to each other and try to follow but as i said we often fall back into german or english or i need a translation Do you have any tips how i can make more progress? Would you recommend doing a course at highschool for example? Would you recommend learning books for making more progress? I started a learning book once but it was very frustrating for me becouse you repeat a sentence 1000 times with different words but it doesnt make any fun.
Great dialogues, thank you, they really help, it’s good to hear Turkish spoken at a normal speed but clearly so that learners can follow, well done I hope you will do these more often. Teşekkür ederim, görüşürüz
It was every easy cause I usually watch Turkish dramas especially dirilis ertugrul so expect the last one daily routine one I understood all of the conversation your content is great.

I am not Turkish nor do I understand Turkish, but I am fascinated by how it sounds. It's so different from Arabic. I think it's one of the most unique languages in the world.
We're happy to announce that we finally launched our A1 Level Turkish Course! Click to sign-up🔽 a1turkishcourse.turkishle.com/p/a1-level-turkish-course ⚠Merhaba arkadaşlar! We made a translation mistake at 05:01 🤦 That's why we blurred the wrong translation😕 'On bir(11)' is 'eleven' in English. So the translation should be: 'I sleep around eleven o'clock'. We're sorry if it confused you😕

As a person who were born and grew up in Turkey. Here's a little tip for beginners. Our voice tone changes as we ask something or answer/tell, for me or some more people while asking you make your voice softer and while answering you say with your normal tone. This is an important thing to know if you wanna speak Turkish normally (not judging how you speak it) listening to podcasts like these will help you!
As a language teacher myself, I applaud and welcome your videos. A suggestion, for beginners it’s a bit too fast, your speed is more appropriate for intermediate level students. Thanks for your otherwise excellent work.
Many years ago, I lived a bit less than a year in Istanbul! I find Turks kind and tolerant in general and I love their music and language and food. Watching these conversations make me happy! Lovely people! p.s. leave out the unsavory minority you find in every nationality
Thanks for this video. I just started 2 months ago to learn Turkish, so far it isnt very hard, and its grammer a litle bit similar to the Hungarian. Greatings from Hungary.
Hello i am from Philippines 🎉❤ and i am learning this because of my future kocacigim 😊❤ i really Love how you pronounce it and you put a translation on it This is really helpful 😊❤ thank you so much for this video i will keep learning and watching ❤😊 God bless
I understood the most of it but I found it quite easy to understand after listening a few times but my dad is getting used to Turkish from you tube series! Your actors are very good
Ben ispanyolum ve türkçe bir harika bir dil. Bu tarz videoları çok seviyorum, onlar türkçe öğrendiğim daha hızlı ediyor, onun için daha çok istiyorum!!!!
these are truly great videos!! I've been studying turkish a lot because I hope to have a second home there. I love the culture and food. So excited to go to Turkey!!
Thank you so much!!! 🥺 I saw your channel 2 weeks ago and I kept watching your videos cause it has translate so I can learn turkish, and now you are officially teaching us Turkish it’s really helpful!!
Great effort. Its far easier to understand written Turkish. Pretty hard to follow the spoken one. Interesting to know the Turkish word for nurse, Hemşire. In (good) Urdu also we have the borrowed word from Persian called Hamshira meaning sister. Usually the word 'sister' was used for nurses in military hospitals.
@@yaldaha Hi Yalda! I like your name since we celebrate the Yalda Night 🤣 and your name reminded me of that. Yes, you are absolutely right. Hum+sheer where sheer means milk. Poetical and higher Urdu still uses hamsheera for real sister. Thanks for your input 👍
actually, there is a word similar to this in turkish. "hemşehri" is used for people whose hometown is the same. like relatives. i think it is of persian origin.

This is great listening material. I just wish that the first version had been without subtitles, and the second one with text. I covered the text the first time I listened (so two trials for each dialogue, just listening), then I rewatched and checked with the subtitles whether I had understood correctly and what I had missed. I like that you went for normal speed. It is fast, but that´s what you get to hear in real life, so better train up for it 🙂
It took me 20 min to get through the video 🤣🤣🤣. I have to thank you first for reminding me why I fell in love with the language. I paused and skipped back a few times with the purpose of listening again, analysing the word and sentence structure. The words that are spelled with and accent sign above them really throw me off! And how you combine words where and when. Especially when you refer to yourself and you coming it in with another word. It's very confusing. The video is very helpful and I really liked analysing it. The speed at which you speak was also a thing but it is good that you demonstrated the normal speed at which native speakers speak.

It is a bit hard to understand because Turkish is sooo different from the languages I already speak (English, Spanish, Russian). But anyways, this video was really helpful to me. I extremely need more videos like this one. Videoların için teşekkürler. ❤❤❤
Dear maria, in street may more difficult or more advanced but don't worry. You can speak turkish. Already we will help you. Turks very friendly. I am turkish. For example: Ne?: what? Ad, isim: name. Adın: your name What is your name?: Adın ne? My name: adım. Your name: adın. His name: adı. Turkish language is difficult. I have realized now but you can do, i think.
It was great. I understood everything, actually i was in Turkey lots of times, but i coudn't talk with them. By the way i am from Uzbekistan, we decided to travel to the Turkey this summer so that i'll watch ur's video to improve my Turkish. Thank u❤
At last! A decent channel run by natives. Loving the dialogue having different levels. Although speed might be a problem that can be fixed with the speed adjustment on RUclips, the real challenge is how to catch the letters mid word you omit.. with the ending omissions I'm used to. We need lots of practice. This is the first time on the channel and really this one dialogue made me. subscribe already. Are there any books that you guys could recommend for English speakers?
Happy to hear that you liked the video Meyra :) We usually recommend '' The Delights of Learning Turkish'' for self learning. www.amazon.com/Delights-Learning-Turkish-self-study-learners-ebook/dp/B00K5B1E8Q
Çok iyi video. Bir dönem Bilkent'te okudum ve üç Türkle kaldım, sonra Kürdistan'a gittim ve birkaç gün tamamen Türkçe konuşmak zorunda kaldım. Sonra Brooklyn'de beş Türkle kaldım. Türkçeyi çok kullanmayalı on yıl olmuş (bu yüzden Google bu yoruma yardımcı oldu). Diyalog, ilk izlemede çoğunu anlamak için yeterince kolaydı.
That moment when I understood almost everything from the first try without the English subtitles even though I did not study Turkish at school. I watched a lot of Turkish series when I was younger and understood some expressions.
Alright, so I'm American, traveling in Turkey, and recently had the whole "How old are you?" "I'm this old" "Wow, you look younger" conversation with some people i was introduced to. We all went around guessing each other's ages and then complimenting them based on how they look younger. 🤔 Someone's age is relatively private in America and, well, i felt kind of awkward. But this is perhaps a standard bit of introduction here.
Yeah in the US and Canada it’s weird we don’t mention our age when meeting someone new. But in middle eastern culture and Turkey (I’m guessing many more as well those are just what I know) it’s totally normal to ask for someone’s age when making introductions. In the Middle East it’s also a way of complimenting because we’ll often reply with “you look so young” or “wow 19, you’re so mature for your age” and so on. So yeah it’s perfectly normal for age to come up in a conversation! 😁
I can understand it all without subtitles but I couldnt say it myself...I spent too much time in Turkey listening to Turkish and not doing speaking practice :( your videos are a great help

Since then I have reached a very decent level in Turkish and I’m about to finish my PhD dissertation in Turkish but I still love watching these videos. 🤓
Hi, I'm samir. I am learning English. Can you help me speak English with me? I can also help you learn Turkish language 📚🙂
By now i am
- I started learning with duolingo - but i passed through all levels and think i dont make any progress with it anymore.
- I also have a box of vocabulary and fill up some vocabulary every few days from watching youtube-videos for example or reading a turkish online article (first try to understand myself - then google translate and compare with the actuall turkish sentence)
- Also i watch those youtube videos sometimes (your right turkishle is the best video channel i found by now becouse you realy learn about the context of the words and how to use them in acutall conversations)
- And i just started watching some turkish series with english or german subtitles but i have the feeling as if it doesnt help me much becouse i cant rly listen and try to understand the spoken turkish while reading the subtitles - often turkish needs less words then english so you have to read the subtitles pretty fast.
- I try to make every WhatsApp Conversation with turkish friends in turkish language becouse i have enough time to think about my sentences
- And of course i try speaking with my friends or listen to them speaking to each other and try to follow but as i said we often fall back into german or english or i need a translation
Do you have any tips how i can make more progress? Would you recommend doing a course at highschool for example? Would you recommend learning books for making more progress? I started a learning book once but it was very frustrating for me becouse you repeat a sentence 1000 times with different words but it doesnt make any fun.

⚠Merhaba arkadaşlar! We made a translation mistake at 05:01 🤦 That's why we blurred the wrong translation😕 'On bir(11)' is 'eleven' in English. So the translation should be: 'I sleep around eleven o'clock'. We're sorry if it confused you😕

You teach practically it's very good . Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰🇹🇷
I'm really greatful for your tip!
I'm a biginner and a tip of learning always helps me a lot!!
شما ترکی بلدید صحبت کنید خوشبحالتون من خیلی دوست دارم ترکی یاد بگیرم ولی نه هزینه رفتن به کلاس دارم و نه کسی که با من صحبت کنه
This video is really very helpful with learning turkish! Thankyou❤ Love from India 🇮🇳
As a language teacher myself, I applaud and welcome your videos. A suggestion, for beginners it’s a bit too fast, your speed is more appropriate for intermediate level students. Thanks for your otherwise excellent work.
Yes, for beginners the video is fast. I don’t have time to read the print before it changes. Love them though!
Agree! Nıce, but too fast for begınners, takes a lot of tıme to start to hear.
These videos are exactly what students need - I have searched everywhere, please keep them coming, very helpful !
Thank you! Will do!
I remember few years ago I couldn't understand quietly these dialogues but now i fully understand them without reading subtitles ❤️ work hard
I'm from bangladesh ur teaching is awesome! Thank you keep up😁

I understood the most of it but I found it quite easy to understand after listening a few times but my dad is getting used to Turkish from you tube series! Your actors are very good
What series do you recommend for learning Turkish ? And do you watch with english subtitles ?
Ben ispanyolum ve türkçe bir harika bir dil. Bu tarz videoları çok seviyorum, onlar türkçe öğrendiğim daha hızlı ediyor, onun için daha çok istiyorum!!!!
Terrific idea to let us hear native conversations! More please!
I could understand 70% after watching only one series bro Turkish is the easiest language swear a God
these are truly great videos!!

You’re welcome 😊
I understood everything. This year im taking turkish exam/test on B2 level. İnşallah I pass the exam :-)
In Turkish, the word "Hemşire" is used both for the sister and for the nurse. But it hasn't been used for 'sister' in 100 years.
@@sinasikicioglu wow! Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
@@jehan_navard Just thought I'd add that in Persian/Farsi, hamshira literally means something like "the one you shared (breast)milk with" :)
Türkçe Duo ile öğreniyorum. Çok teşekkürler, arkadaşlar.
Such dialogues are very helpful! I understand the first dialogue without translation. In the following, I had to check some words. 👍👍

Bu kadar gramer kuralını dağ gibi yazmışsın ama bunu gören insan dilden soğur.
It is fast, but that´s what you get to hear in real life, so better train up for it 🙂
You should do more of these. Onu seviyorum! Çok fazla:)

For example:
Ne?: what?
Ad, isim: name.
Adın: your name
What is your name?: Adın ne?

Çok iyi video. Bir dönem Bilkent'te okudum ve üç Türkle kaldım, sonra Kürdistan'a gittim ve birkaç gün tamamen Türkçe konuşmak zorunda kaldım. Sonra Brooklyn'de beş Türkle kaldım. Türkçeyi çok kullanmayalı on yıl olmuş (bu yüzden Google bu yoruma yardımcı oldu). Diyalog, ilk izlemede çoğunu anlamak için yeterince kolaydı.
very interesting which city did you visit in Kurdistan?
Hıh

That moment when I understood almost everything from the first try without the English subtitles even though I did not study Turkish at school.
I watched a lot of Turkish series when I was younger and understood some expressions.

Thank you! I'm doing my first steps to learn Turkish, so it was really Hard work to understand. But your video is cool! Thanks
Alright, so I'm American, traveling in Turkey, and recently had the whole "How old are you?" "I'm this old" "Wow, you look younger" conversation with some people i was introduced to. We all went around guessing each other's ages and then complimenting them based on how they look younger.
🤔
Someone's age is relatively private in America and, well, i felt kind of awkward.
Where are you from?

Please keep on providing learning through watching.
It is amazing.
You talk very fast, but I agree that learners need to get used to the natural rhythm. Re-playing is very useful. Teşekkürler!
Glad it was helpful Nigel :)
It s actually a little bit slower than a normal conversation.
Türkçe öğretmenleri için çok güzel pratik videoları yaptığınız için teşekkürler
I watch Turkish series everyday so it wasn’t hard to understand ... 😍
