such a cozy album ❤their next one starts their more grander sounding stuff really appreciate your reaction you seem cool also you might like sufjan stevens, Illinois especially
Thank you so much :)) and yeah this album is super cozy. I actually plan on doing Sufjan Stevens for sure, been hearing a lot about him lately and he has a collab album with Angeo De Augustine, who I looove. Sufjan has so many albums! Is Illinois a good place to start??
@@shyuperc yeah illinois was my first sufjan album and i think its a pretty good place to start :) actually I'm going to type a lot. this guy has so many albums so seven swans, Michigan, carrie and lowell (very sad album) and a beginners mind are all more folky sounding. Illinois is like disney music but in a good way. its really grand. age of adz might be my favorite, but its pretty different from the rest of his things (I wont say why in case you would like to be surprised) but not really a great starting point I don't think. those are like the main ones lol
@@shyupercSome of his albums sound so different from the others. He's got really low-key albums with sparse, but absolutely beautiful instrumentation (Seven Swans and Carrie & Lowell). And then he has albums like Illinoise and Michigan that have a lot more instruments and can be very theatrical and dramatic. I guess you can choose which album to listen to based on your mood 😅
My favourite song from Teen Dream coming up is Better Times. I’ve subscribed to see your reaction, can’t wait. Teen Dream and Bloom are huge albums, you’re in for a wild ride. My favourite album is 7 which is a bit away but everything in between is top tier.
This album is definetely a major improvement over the debut production wise it just sounds nicer on the ears idk why that is im not a major in music🤣 but what an amazing album
"To play a wrong note is insignificant; to play without passion is inexcusable" - Bethoven and something that Daniel always had was a passion for art 💔💔💔💔
the riff from Daniel Johnston's "despair came knocking" is used on Car seat headrest's 1 album in the song kid war. tip: Don't listen to kid war unprepared, its by far one of the most emotional songs ive ever heard and the closest one to bring me to the verge of tears
Oh wow I just realised he’s the one who made the ‘Hi how are you’ album :o. I love that cover art but I’ve never listened to it. I just listened to the original of ‘some things last a long time’ and it’s great :’) sounds super sentimental and nostalgic.

One of their best if not their best.
This album is so magical man, I feel like people don’t mention it enough; compared to their other albums
@@shyuperc you are very right. Def deserves so much more love. It’s a perfect album.

Daniel Jonhston is great, i absolutely love all of his music, it really has the emotion you want on a masterpiece.
