Wow those drums are so well balanced, low, mid, highs were perfect, in the context of the entire mix they were sitting perfectly. What a great drummer as well.

Gotta love it when FOH and Mons compliment any part of the kit! Also, when it comes to a replacement snare, look at a shallower depth maybe, around 5,5". I've found that to work really well with the low dead snare sound.

Thanks for including the IFB. In working live sound and video for over thirty years, i can tell you I’ve worked many a show where the IFB was more entertaining than the show the audience saw. Great show. Looks like a good band to work for. Just discovered the channel. I’ll have to go back and see your other videos now. I’m old, semi retired, and while the dog in me still wants to hunt, the old dog in me knows I can’t do the travel and crazy hours anymore. So I’ll watch you guys.

Was hoping to catch you at the Denver show, but our trucks (BZ) were in the way of yours. So I didn't get a chance to catch the show. Maybe next time.
I live the "tech life" through you and a few others. Thanks for the vids, bro!

What cymbals does this drummer use? And can you tell me the series, type of cymbal, and how many inches each cymbal is?

I understand that every drummer has their own style/technique, but there is no no need to hit cymbals or drums so hard! I have been playing for over 40 years and have never cracked a cymbal or burst a drum skin. In fact, hardly ever put a dent on a drum head. FOH maybe needs to maybe turn up the mics and get the drummer to turn TF down. This was painful to watch.

I know these dudes personally. Josh is actually one of the most finesse jazz dudes I’ve seen. There is a show. And, he also has rarely ever broken anything and drums on a gaggle of massive records. You gotta know the gig you’re getting 6 figures for. This is a massive one and Josh is one of the most consummate pros in the business. That said, I do appreciate what you are saying and I too never hit this hard. I’m also not paid to.

This is one of the dumbest comments I've ever read. The guy is playing a 40,000 capacity arena gig. Not to mention his playing is incredibly tasteful. Probably not the venue where I would be worried about a DB cap or my snare being on top of the PA. I'm sure all the people you've never played in front of are so proud of you for never cracking a cymbal. Is that on your resume? You're the drummer who has "hardly ever put a dent on a drum head"? Holy shit!
