    People tend to look down on my bike when I mentioned my bike is aluminum. When I had the titanium bike I got mad props and compliments. My CAAD 13 is fast and super smooth I got rid of the titanium that was heavy and not snappy. I got the Zipp stem but you should stick with the tarmac stem with internal routing. I will check Bianchi because I have never ridden a carbon bike.

    • @RobbArmstrong1
      @RobbArmstrong1  7 месяцев назад

      LISTEN!! I hear you on the Aluminum piece. I’ve had this frame for *MONTHS but was reluctant to build it up on the mere fact it was aluminum. Like, I got a bunch of buddies who have this Frame and they all speak highly of it but initially I had some doubts, ☹️ but now… I’m glad I finally built it up. The Allez is an excellent bike and I don’t think you’re sacrificing anything with the aluminum frame.
      & when/if you get a chance. Go ride a Bianchi! You’ll be surprised! If I described the Bianchi in with one word… “Smooth” 😎

      Lugged steel are the only truly safe bikes out there. Alu is very weak so is carbon. When you tear your bottom bracket off on a hard sprint on Carbon or Alu you are going to eat it, hard. Only steel will give you a warning it's going to fail.
