Depends how big the granny square is, measure with a piece of rope and start from there

That's a great idea. It requires a whole new pattern for it, but it's doable

It would not affect it but you will need to slight modify the pattern to make the increases that turn it into a rainbow

You can chain the same amount of chains (or double the number) and just make a lot more rows

The only way is to make more rounds until it's as big as you like
