      I’m only aware of one negative review, and interestingly those videos aren’t around anymore. The tech in these screens is a little different so it’s tricky to tell if it was a bad set. A consensus of other reviews will clear that up..

    So I've been trying to figure out if I received a defective pair. It seems the rx module on mine makes a difference and the furious v3 I was using on them just burnt out. I'm not sure if as a result of the goggles. Also, even with it's own Rx, there is still color blur but drastically reduced and only actually visible in certain lighting conditions.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 лет назад +2

      It could be. I had the reverse problem when I tested the HD3s! :) if you’re up in the NW of the UK, happy to let you try mine..

      Yeah, pop on over there Bob... but seriously that's two that seam fine compared to the ones you received.

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab 6 лет назад +4

      I've discovered the issues with mine. They work fine, I was using a module they didn't seem to like very much and I believe. The furious module also burnt but I dunno if that was due to the goggles or the module. During high contrast, moderate to moderate-high lighting settings, you see a ton of color blur. Otherwise they're fine. I'm still not a fan of LCOS but that's just personal preference. I do however recommend the -2 diopters to make it easier to see the entire screen. If I ever get the time I'll discuss all this in more detail. The goggles are honestly stellar all around except for some minor details like the small eye holes, occasional color blur, awful DVR and what I consider as a soft focus screen. The rest of the goggle is a step above fatshark.

    How does this screen size compare to Quanum V2 Pros, the DIY set from quite some time ago (the goggles I have). I'm afraid if the screen wodnt'b bee too small compared to Quanum V2s - the screen on these box goggles is immense.

    My EV800D just arrived and... I think I'm already wanting that one. 😐
    Anyway, how bizarre the problems Kabab FPV had with it... I really think he receiver a defective model... Go figure!

    • @KrotowX
      @KrotowX 6 лет назад +2

      Most likely he had earlier LCOS optic modules. Googles which Andy received later had improved modules.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 лет назад +3

      I agree. LCOS module defect rates are huge so he may have had an ‘early’ defective pair. It will be interesting to see how the screen manufacturer can keep up with demand with this screen tech..

    • @KrotowX
      @KrotowX 6 лет назад +2

      LCOS optic modules have very strict manufacturing rules where stepping back from described assembling etc. procedures end with faulty modules. It was one of reasons why good VR googles with LCOS optics was very expensive. I see FPV google manufacturers are now trying to give LCOS for masses. Of course they need to cut price down then which obviously involve manufacturing process changes. This kind of improvising may end bad as we seen in early F7X and EV200 googles. It certainly would be interesting to see the good/defective LCOS module ratio in future. I hope for best :)

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 лет назад +1

      Indeed. Typical defect rates in LCOS manufacture can be as high as 60%..

      this is why most ppl stayed with lcd so long lcos has its ghosting issue and oled has its burning issue but the tech has evolved 10 times over in the last few years. eachine is trying to get ppl in to the hobby i dont even think they make these products in house. they seem to find factories and fund them so it might be a company that knows lcos systems just need better backing. i know with right factory this tech can make it but amoled is the future lol fpv vr tv pc contacts

    My advise to eachine is to add an on/off button on the wire next to the barrel plug. That goes for anyone else who are making google battery. No need for a button on the google.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 лет назад

      Nope, can't see that here (compared with HD3s..) looks like it only happens with an NTSC image, the ‘cropping’ is very very small, a handful of pixels. PAL is identical..

    • @Painless360

      Almost, the advice is that if you're installing a single module then install it in the left-hand Bay. See the manual. Happy flying!

    hello ! The french's forum and facebook pages were impatients to see reviews of these goggles ! Each of them are traduced, explained, argued...
    Thank you for your work and thank you for your easy to understand english ;)
    By the way. Some people (including me) are wondering which choice is the best one (almost for the same price) between Fatshark attitude v4 and eachine ev 200D. Of course the ev200D do have best specs, but fatshark has the experience... (I'm french so you know I have a terrible english XD, it's not my fault ;) )

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 лет назад

      I can assure you, your English is far better than my French! In answer to your question, it comes down to what you’re looking for, how much you’re willing to pay and how much risk you’re willing to take. The challenge with these new goggles is that they are do not have the same backup and warranty support of something like a set of Fat Sharks. So if they go wrong, you’ll struggle to get them repaired. Not sure if that helps..

    I have Fatshark money... I don't like Fatshart's business model. Im excited about the EV 200Ds, I just "pre-ordered" them.
    Question... I know you get money when i use an affiliate product link and purchase anything from that store within a time frame. What happens if I follow two different links (EX: I follow your link, then go go to anyrc's link and follow that back to the product page) to the same product/URL then make the purchase. do both affiliates get a cut or does one override the other?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 лет назад

      The links are not affiliate links. I don't like affiliate links. That doesn't gel with my idea of being an impartial reviewer. The link does allow the supplier to see how many people clicked it so they can gauge how much interest there is.. Hope that's clearer.

    Wondering if its really true quadversity or just the extra 2 mldules are for 3d sending 2 seperate signals

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  6 лет назад

      Checking with the vendor, it appears that each of the diversity module send their own signal to the goggles, it’s the goggles that then choose between those two supplied signals and then sends one of them to the screens. I do wish they just have left it with the single bay with a nice beefy power supply as that’s the way I think most people are going to use these anyway..

      well this and kabab did take his video down claiming eachine told him they'd "change things he found lacking" - so if that were true, then we'd be speaking about a lot more delay - and I've been promissed that they'd be "in stock" ("guaranteed shipping in 72h") when I ordered them, two months ago. If I had clicked "preorder" then that might have been reasonable. So it's bogus.

    yes good quality eachine ev2ood, but they have an unforgivable failure, small insects enter inside the lenses and to remove them it is a very difficult task you have to disassemble the interior mirror and 2 tempered crystals finisimos less than 1mm and as you touch with your fingers since they are no longer I leave the factory I never pass on the 2 screens and dust inside. My God, I took out a handful. That is not right.
    si buena calidad las eachine ev2ood, pero tienen un fallo imperdonable, entran pequeños insectos por dentro de las lentes y para quitarles es una labor dificilisima tienes que desmontar el espejo interior y 2 cristales templados finisimos menos de 1mmy como toques con los dedos pues ya no las dejas de fabrica nunca me paso en las 2 pantallas y polvo por dentro.dios mio saque un puñado.eso no esta bien.
