Sarah I’ve watched this video dozens of times and finally tried to recreate it. Of course it looked nothing like yours- well maybe a bit but anyway I donated it to a charity auction and the darn thing sold for $1,000.00!! So my charity and I thank you!!🥰
Good for you !! .. I haven’t tried selling anything yet I’m getting buried in canvases… Just don’t think I have anything anyone would buy … lol … not very confident for sure
i have a banquet table i want to do, does this create cracks? I have doen small pours and end up with thickened areas that crack, what am i doing wrong?
ajdyl just jumping in here ✌️ a couple of reasons crazing or cracks happen. Mixing different pouring mediums- they dry at different rates causing surface tensions against each other. Make sure to write on each cup as ya make it, what is going in. 3 paintings later it all seems the same 😅 Too much paint left on the canvas- tilt more off. If you like to leave it on thicker or it’s just so great tilting much off will ruin it- adding Goldens GAC 800 in small amounts will help tremendously with the crackdowns. It’s made for paint pouring in heavy applications and tons of artists use it as insurance against crazing. Happy painting! 🥂🎨👌
I know this painting was completed in Aug of 2019, being new to paint pouring there are so many of yours I haven't seen. This one is over the top gorgeous. I have a huge canvas I purchased for may wall & biding my time to paint it until the right time comes along. Thank you, this is absolutely beautiful.
Oh my God it’s gorgeous is the understatement of the year I don’t even know how in the heck that happened it looks like it’s alive it’s crazy beautiful
Wowie! That would be a beauty in a more minimalistic house. Strong lines in the interior and a bit industrial with a piece like this as the main focus, wow 😁
WOW!!! An amazing job on your first large canvas! I love your work so much. And the sense of fun/enjoyment I feel from you while you're painting. I hope this one goes well in your show.
I agree Mine must lift weights to trajn! She wild around a 30x40 canvas full of paint Like it was nothing! Sarah, this is a neck of an idea! I didn't know that you were that tall! This is tough I'm old so there is no way I could handle this! I have had back surgery and both knees replaced! I'm an old jock falling apart! Now I'm elderly and disabled, but fairly bionic! This is turning out lovely! I like it a lot!! It makes me think of wild horses! Stop an breathe! This was a workout! Thank you for sharing it!
Congratulations for achieving this masterpiece... I just cannot take my eyes off of it. It is phenomenal. Hope one day can get one of your pieces. Love this one so, so much!!!
When you were blowing, I was afraid reefs going to do a face plant right in it!! This is fabulous!!!I am in love with it, but could never afford something so incredible. I was watching you move the open cup!!! Didn't think of this
Heather Mader Art thank you so much heather! I’m so sore today lol damn that fibromyalgia! But worth it! It was time for me to finally pour on that canvas that mocked me for almost a year lol
Sarah, this is one of the most beautiful paintings I have ever seen! Would you mind listing your paints and recipes for us? I keep trying to take notes and write down what they are, but it goes by fast, and I keep having to rewind, LOL
You’ve developed quite the exercise program for yourself! ( and in your good clothes, kneeling on bare knees too.) You’ve become a really talented large format artist since I last watched some of your videos. These pieces are ready for the big time, Lady! If you aren’t charging a big bucket of money for them, you really should be. Bravo!
Hi Sarah, I ❤❤❤ed this VIDEO . ALSO LEARNT SO MUCH FROM THIS APPROACH of yours!!!!! I am convinced that an open cup pour, is the technique, that I will use, on my large canvas - after watching this video. The most practical technique, to spread the paint over such a vast area. I had to SCRAPE my 1st attempt yesterday a Dutch Pour, on my biggest, ever canvas. Huge waste of paint. Disastrous experiment, I spent 3 hours cleaning up the over-spray paint , what a mess!!! Your idea is perfect......on the floor, a large room, plenty of space, area covered in plastic Your video had given me renewed enthusiasm, together with the renewed courage to TRY AGAIN!!!! I am 71yrs of age, and I decided, IF you can do it, so too can I. 🤣🤣🤣 Can one use an alternative to 4 parts Floetrol : 1 part Housepaint? I have my, pre- mixed P.M which hasFloeteol in it, as one of the main ingredients, of the recipe (Molly's P.M. Recipe) would that surfice. Using the same ratio, as you suggested, but not, concentrated Floetrol, as I have run out, non available in South Africa, at present.
Hi Vinnie! I think I would go 3:1 with the other medium. But it has to be some what thin not like a Dutch pour thin though. So you may have to add a little water. Best of luck💕
Sarah, I know I've told you this a hundred times but this was the very FIRST fluid art video I had ever seen and THE video that got me hooked on Fluid Art... So all the thousands of dollars spent, is attributed to you inspiring me! 😂I can't tell you how many times I have come back to this painting for inspiration and references! So... thank you my friend for everything you've done to help me on this journey and becoming a friend that I hold near and dear to my heart!! Love you Lady!!💝
When I work big there are a lot of expletives....you kept your cool in the heat of it all and it paid off for an exquisite composition! Txz for sharing!
Sarah, it's hard to believe that you created this stunning painting almost 2 years ago!
