This video is about the fetch decode execute cycle for GCSE or A level Computer science courses. The video also includes a mention of the Von Neumann Architecture.
Hi, im a gsce student and im not sure what a CIR is.. i dont think its in the gsce specification and I cant find anywhere explaining it in a way I understand.. May you please give me a simple definition of what it is please? :)) i assumed i should probably ask you as you were the most recent commenter 😅😅
@@Keisha-sb7fd HI, the CIR is the Current Instruction Register. It is a register that holds the instruction that is being carried out by the program. If the data copied from the Memory is an instruction it is copied into the CIR to then be passed to the control unit to be carried out. You can find more info here: teach-ict.com/2016/GCSE_Computing/OCR_J276/1_1_systems_architecture/fetch_execute_cycle/miniweb/index.php (Not my website, but one I have found very useful!) I hope this helps!
Wonderful & utmost visual & practical illustration of the action inside. Provides good insight for better understanding. Loads of likes👌👌👌👌 sir. Please post more videos of fantastic quality like this one. Deserves subscription!
