Taiwan High Speed Rail is a high-speed rail line that runs approximately 349.5 km, along the west coast of Taiwan, from the national capital Taipei to the southern city of Kaohsiung, based on the 700 Series Shinkansen trainset (4 train deliveries from 2012 to 2015).

    Somethings for this viedo
0:03-11:26 In 1980s, this unground railroad had been built for TRA(Taiwan Railway Adminitration) for local and cargo trains use. It's NOT suitable for high speed trains, that's why there had lower speed limit in the ungrounded railroad.
    35:08
    59:40
    1:04:42
When the high speed railrad has been constructing, they had left Miaoli, Changhua and Yuanlin in reservation with tracks. All of those stations had been finished and operational now. Also, almost of the south bound trains are starting from Nangang station and Taipei is the next station from Nangang.
2:12 The languages for audio announcement, Mandarin -> Taiwanese -> Hakka -> English.

Not every country will have trains running on the same side as the roads.
Taiwanese railways and roads were both LHD from the Japanese period. China made all roads (including Taiwan) RHD just after the War, before the Nationalist government was forced out of the mainland in 1949. The rules for trains were never changed.

Sorry folks, the train speed is realistic, this is filmed in real time. The camera had to show everything. Sony know what they are doing!

This is quite an impressive system indeed. Extremely fast, very smooth. I'm guessing it was designed and built by a German engineering firm. The best I've seen yet.👍🏻👍🏻

But the train was a Shinkansen N700 from Japan. I like tho see an japanese Shinkansen who drive on an track system designed and build from the germans. ^^

Why is it that the US cannot have a high speed rail system like this? We are fortunate just to keep our Amtrak trains on the rails.
