Your editing style is so unique and incredibly captivating. You continue to inspire Stephen, whether you know it or not. Enjoy the off-season and I hope to catch you out there next May.
Dude, thank you so much Hunter. That honestly means so much. Can't believe we're halfway to May 2020 already! Would live to catch you under a meso next year!
@@StephenStormLog Absolutely! With how cold and seemingly endless this most recent winter was (at least up in Minnesota) it made the chase season go by in a snap. Hopefully that won't be the case next spring. (:
Thanks Glen! For once, picking the wrong storm initially paid off in the end. So glad we could catch Mangum from the north rather than fighting the traffic to the south coming into town.
Man I was watching this day carefully. Glad it didn't pan out as everyone was fearing. If I remember correctly the GFS was showing multiple supercells impacting the OKC metro area.
Oh man, the HRRR runs that morning were really creeping me out. Definitely seemed to be trending up right before the event started. Tweet link with one of those runs: twitter.com/nilwxreports/status/1130446419230224384
honestly this day was just crappy. Could’ve been an extremely high end day to be remembered for a century, however nothing except for this tornado really panned out
High risk days are such a double edged sword for chasing. Definitely glad things weren't worse for the people living there, but also I won't lie and say I imagined hopping from supercell to supercell racking up double digit tornado counts that day.
the menacing music/vibe to this is so cool man
Thanks Chris! That oppressive, menacing tone was really how the whole day felt for us. We were scared to death about what we might see.
Great footage. How has this not gotten more attention?
Haha thanks so much Lotte. I think 5/20/19 is a date most chasers would rather forget rather than give more attention to :)

Woah love the aesthetic! Well done! I am both glad I skipped this day and unhappy that I didn’t experience it.
Thanks!! Tried to invoke that creeping uneasiness we felt the whole day. Definitely a different feel than those fun, carefree 2% days!
Good footage one of the few that got something and I was right there near it and only saw it briefly. Good Job Steph!..

@@StephenStormLog All I was thinking that day was imagining May 20/May 3 type tornadoes slamming the metro over and over again.
Wow! Fantastic footage!! 👍
