VERY nice video! I have the same UP ALCO LEGACY kit. UNION PACIFIC is one of my focus lines, me living in Iowa, Colorado, and Wyoming. Still, I’d love to find an American Flyer LEGACY Northern Pacific ALCO trio! That would complete my passenger roster!
It's cool that these have Legacy, but they make one thing painfully apparent about Lionel's business practices. They spit on customers who want semi-scale and are forced to deal with subpar speakers and operations in a still expensive model. Those sounds coming out of a proper speaker probably sound great but just come across as bit-crunched. I really miss MTH because they didn't downplay their electronics, the Railking locos were identical under the hood, and it became a preference of scale, something many people (like my grandpa) have a mix of and would opt for the smaller choice to mix operational accessories or postwar stock into.
Definently wish they kicked a higher bass speaker + soundfile in these, plenty of room to make some clean Alco noise. Ran great otherwise, no hiccups in drive.
