Adam, this is not merely "kind of cool," this is *super* cool! Jim Kroupa did the puppets for WIMZIE'S HOUSE, which people complained was a Muppet ripoff (which is ironic, considering Kroupa did some work for the Muppets).

This is so cool, and I just saw your instagram post with the final version of the legs! Very cool, I love it!! Soooooooo what about arms and hands? Surely there is a way to do something cool with arms and hands. I know that using the stick is the standard way, but there must be a way of doing something like this for hands!! Love your work, very very cool!!

I remember watching older clips of Sesame Street and The Muppet Show that had a version of Kermit who could move his entire legs (upper leg, knee, and ankles could rotate). I haven't found a single piece of information online about how Henson made the leg mechs for Kermit, but I imagine it wouldn't have been too far off from the mech you showed here. Great video Adam!

after watching how to make a puppet with live hands I saw you needed two people to make the puppet come to live, but 1 person doesn't have 3 hands so I got the idea that the puppet would loose an arm eg. A fight or war so that 1 person would make it come to live.

    1. Tube Material: What do you use?
    2. Plastic for Feet and Lever: What material? Existing shapes or custom-made?

    • @PuppetNerd
