I was outside with my brother around 2am in Australia, I could’ve sworn the stars were dancing it was so beautiful We both looked straight up for a second and the biggest meteor I have ever seen came directly over us. It was so bright and it looked like the sparks were coming off the back from it, it was so close
Ohh i seen one like that once! It was the most crazy moment to see something so beautiful like that in the sky, but only saw one and it was around 7pm while the sun was setting! I was surprised to be able to see it while the sun was still out😆
I leave early for work every December 14th morning to pull over on a gravel road and watch. I can't help but cry watching them. I'm left speechless and in awe.
Light pollution shouldn't have ruined it, I saw double in half that time. Geminids are fairly bright so was there any bright lights that could've caused your eyes to unadjust to the night sky? Or did you take your eye of the sky often?
i wish i couldve seen this for myself, its snowing really hard here in alaska so i could barely see anything. thank you so much for sharing, im lucky enough to have seen this video.
i happened couple minutes ago here in Brazil. incredible, there's no other words to describe it. I've seen many meteor showers but this one was special. the amount of meteors and their size , plus the starry night with the milky way...... damn. 🌌☄️😍
This was the first meteor shower I could follow, it was an amazing experience. As a young astronomy enthusiast, I was ecstatic. Many years from now I will still remember how that 🇧🇷❤️☄️
The forecast was cloudy/wet for the peak, luckily about 1am the sky cleared, I was using sat24 and knew it was worth waiting up. On Saturday I saw 12 Geminids, and got 2 on camera, on Sunday I saw 58, and a couple on camera, on Monday I saw 7, luckily captured the best one about 2.30am before clouds came in. Nice video, wish I had set my video cam up now....
@@randomguyontheinternet6885 I definitely saw two. The first was much better than the 2nd. The first was around 2am, and the second around 2:20 or so. I'm in the Turks and Caicos.
I went in my truck in the drive way and opened the sunroof. It was incredible. Even in the city with all the light pollution I still saw a lot of meteors. I went out of the city last year and saw a whole bunch but this year I stayed at home. I think the only thing that helped was the fact that there was no moonlight and clear skies. Mind-blowing.
That was amazing...too bad every time there's a big night sky event we always miss it because of rain or storm. It's always that time of year. I hope to witness this too.
A year or 2 ago about 3 in the morning in Liverpool I was outside having a smoke 🚬 😌 when one flew over head huge tail really bright then it flashed and was gone a couple of seconds later there was a loud boom 💥 like really loud I've never seen one so bright or heard that noise before it was awesome
How do I see a meteorite in Saudi Arabia? Do I have to go to the desert because there are no lights to see? Is there a certain time of the year when meteor showers occur? Should I go in the middle of the night or before sunrise I hope for a reply my friend because I'm so interested in this
@@MagicCarpetMedia Did you capture it in SLog2 Video Profile? I've seen some videos in which the secondary ISO Gain kicks up in sony to reduce noise. And did you do any observations? Can you please share the amount of meteors observed over the time span? And location please?
@@rohitsawji4108 yes it was captured in pp7 in SLog2. I had the long exposure noise reduction turned off. saw about 50 meteors and it was filmed in the uk
From Malaysia, i just capture 12 Geminids with 1 fireball... Im really happy because that is my first time to watch meteor show... But my friend capture 70 Geminids with 4 fireball... That so crazy haha

I spent 4 hours and managed to see around 10 of them. Light pollution kind of ruined it, but it was so worth the time.
Hah! same bruh!!
Just love looking at this sky wondering what mysteries lie ahead .

Here in central EU, there are clouds blocking the night sky and it's raining. Where I live, we didn't have snow on christmas day in the last 13 years.

I'm so excited for this year's Geminid Meteor Shower! My mom and I are going camping at a dark sky site to watch it.
Just happened to decide to go for a walk in the Peak District Monday morning with a mate at 1am, had no idea the shower was due, nice clear night
I been driving down the 40 interstate here is the USA and omg the most beautiful thing I ever seen I seen dozens of shooting stars by the minute.
Wow that's amazing

Picking my friend up from airprt and it was so bright. We were not sure what it was. Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The one at 1:26 i saw while driving yesterday and it was enormous
Bottom left
From El Salvador 🇸🇻 I was able to see at least two of them, 1am.
I saw 2 too, but the first one is the most obvious, the second one was kinda a bit out of my focusing area so not sure if it’s a flies or a meteor

Could you use ur phone to record them because I wanna record the quadrantid meteor shower
how much of the stars are visible to the naked eye?
I am from Saudi Arabia, and I managed to see 57 last night. Had to leave the city to the desert, so no light pollution could ruin the experience 🌌
