Museums in CDMX close on Mondays for maintenance. The sidewalks are broken due to the roots of the trees so we prefer to have broken sidewalks than not to have that beautiful green color that surprises most foreigners.

Dude you went to one of the biggest commercial centers of the city: downtown. It is always very crowded. You mixed up with the locals and dove straight into the vibe of the city, what a experience for a foreigner, you are brave man. Keep going

Ola Dain... yes common sense and stay out of dodgy areas is my recommendation. I have traveled to Mexico several times and always felt safe ,just did not drink the local water just bottled. I would avoid public transport since it is so economical to get uber and plus you give an amiga a job. Take care stay safe use your sunscreen and time for a cuppa ☕p.s. Tulum is very nice , small and have mini ruins.

i've been to mexico city several times and never felt unsafe and I'm mexican, I guess it up to the kind of neighborhood you are walking, like for example, i wouldn't go to tepito at night.

@@NomadAmbition I was expecting the 180 but when I left I looked at the card and it said 60… I am on a Facebook backpacker group and it seems this is happening a lot where people get given a random amount of days !
They have lots of parks because of the smog. They are very environment friendly. You missed the archeological museum. Take some bus tours from Mexico City. They have them available from hotels downtown. The pryimids from Mexico City. Etc… I am lucky my cousin lives there so I stay with her. Locks and locks on doors. You have to remember that everywhere you go as a tourist there are pick pockets. Barcelona, New York, Brazil, etc.. so as long as you follow the recommended safety procedures you are ok.
There is soooo many things I missed I have to admit I was very unprepared for MXC ! Thanks for watching :)
Thanks for sharing your experience! I’ll be in Spain, Paris and Italy for a whole month trying to get to see all those 3 countries in a whole month and seeing you so nervous I feel that I will be the same not knowing where to go or who get get around 😋

Good video mate, I'm heading to México mid next year, and I want to visit CDMX, San Luis Potosi, Guadalajara, Guanajuato, y Puebla and more if I have enough money, do you have any tips about passport safety,? Do you carry it with you or leave it in the hostel/hotel?
Thanks for watching ! I always put my passport in the hostel locker and I have never had any issue 😀 a lot safer than carrying it around with you!

Due to the date you uploaded the video to the network, it is possible that your visit took place at the end of December and on the second or third day of January 2022. You should know that in Mexico there is an important date, in January... the day 06; because it is the date on which the kings of the east are supposed to have visited Jesus (also called the child god) in Jerusalem; therefore, the days before the 6th, but especially the 5th, is when many parents go through those streets looking to give their children a gift (it is said, the child god brings them). The celebration is similar to Christmas shopping in the US. And the flow of people is impressive, and more during the night of 05, and these purchases can last until 4 or 5 a.m. of January 06. All merchants want to sell and many parents want to buy.
