It’s totally ok for a guy to prefer a lower body count like 3-4, however if a guy is asking for that from a woman, they should also have around that or it’s double standards and doesn’t promote equality.

To expand on what Chase was saying: it's attractive to a woman for a man that has had many options to decide to commit to her instead of continuing to sleep around. It's equally attractive to a man when a woman has said no to many guys, but would choose him for a relationship. To expand further on this, men are cost-benefit analysis machines; when we hear that a woman has been with say 50 guys, we naturally think that there is something wrong with her which is why the guys aren't with her anymore, she likely needs a lot of male attention, and this would likely mean that she might have qualities that would make a man question whether or not she would be a good relationship prospect. The bottom line is why would a man invest time and money into this woman when she is less likely to be an ideal partner? When a man meets a woman, she's quickly put into one of two categories: potential partner, or anything else.
