I remember living in higgate st.marys jamaica in 1974& a little rasta girl in primarily school was teased& ridicule for having dreadlocks, even though she scored the highest on common interest exams, this was by blk j.a. teacher's who felt rastafari was not good& had no future😢
Rastaman Vibration!
I don't deal with Dred/Dread!
That means bad, dark, and dreary!
I deal with
Rasta Locs!
Wear your Locs in the name of
Jah Rastafari!
Yo! I so respect this commentary!
Rasta Locs vibration!
FEAR NOT SAID HE FOR MIGHTY DREAD HAD SIEZED THEIR TROUBLED MIND!!

Go live your best life!
Stripped of culture means stripped of self
Yep 💥💥💥💥Stripped of whom we are.......so keep evolving conscious🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿💪🏿
Look at the Aborigines in Australia there spirituality and the relationship they have with the land and animals, I believe African spirituality is somewhat like that.
Afropeopl not accepting their own afrohair is absolutely insane. How can you claim to believ in God, yet not believ in how God made you?
It’s same way here for American Africans especially where I’m from in Louisiana
I fought as a clergyman employee of nys correction department & substance abuse,12 steps, traditions councilor for rastologist religious rights & stopping trimming of rastas hair in nys& we won both battles 😎 in 1980's, a luta continua😅
stay strong
The choice to wear this hairstyle. Comes with many connotations. That derives from a very natural form. It should therefore be seen as a pinochle of excellent. And not an invitation to derive the wearer!
As one who wore dreadlocks in usa in 1970,i can tell you it was a global no,no,but in the gideon, babylonian society the growing awareness of rastologist is universal, jah jah, nowization, rasta is much more than reggae, music& ganja, weed😅
I just try to keep my Locs neat and the most high will guide my way
Same in jamaica too
Well. It's called dreads for a reason .. Don't expect people to understand what is in your heart
Europe 🇪🇺 they do hire actually rastas but the Caribbean to me is More against it..
Stop, lying is dumb
You know the name, the only way to heaven.
Look@ the usa dreadlocks movement hairstyles, not all are rastologist but use dreadlocks like rappers foolio, who eas recently unalived,in tampa Florida 😢
What are you saying? Nothing of value. Just running your mouth
Hear in texas,a black student was expelled from school for wearing dreadlocks& a blk wrestler had his dreadlocks ✂️ 💇♀️ cut or he couldn't compete, there has been state legislation on dreadlocks in texas😅
Truth African freedom is to be shackled to your identity
What kills me about people in ATL, is that everyone is wearing locs, but not keeping them clean or washed! If you're going to wear a hairstyle unique to your identity, at least wash it and keep it fresh! You'd be amazed how many people in ATL are wearing locs but their hair smells horrible! 🤦🏾♂️ 🤦🏾♂️
Wow. This is disheartening to hear.
I never cared or liked locs it just looks rough, dirty and untidy...sorry.
