I just found this and i put it in my favs. This is truly some fine art. The combination of the melodies with filters and effects makes it kinda hypnotizing.
I'm a music producer as well!! After 8 years of selling beats to artists all over the world. I just rebranded to @DJTayTech. I can relate to relearning and rediscovering! I'm listening to your music while I study for the GMAT.
2:48 (Subtitles) Uhm ackchually the song never went to 3/4 as the tune never looses the "duple" feeling to it. To be technically correct, it could be interpreted as 12/8, with divisions of one strong beat followed by two weak beats ( *1!* 2 3 *4!* 5 6 etc.) or alternatively as remaining in 4/4 but shifting to a swing/shuffle groove with the occasional 8th note triplet thrown in... Oh and good shit, the tune I mean.
uhm ackchually🤓 the time signature doesn't change there. you can tell that based on the snare placement, which is still on the 3rd beat of each measure. some musical phrases are grouped into triplets tho
@@LogansDarling According to the somewhat arbitrary rules of conventional western music theory, The time signature 3/4 is only intended to be attributed to songs with a feeling of having a "triple" feeling, with three strong beats in the bar, with those beats dividing by twos as you would expect (to eighth notes, 16ths, etc.). The time signature 12/8 however, and unless otherwise indicated, indicates four strong beats in the bar with each beat being divisible into threes as I described *(1* 2 3 4 5 *6*). So 12/8 is in fact the technically correct interpretation. As an aside, this is all kind of a bunch of nonsense that doesn't really matter that much, I don't even really like/subscribe to Western music theory, there's really no reason people pretend it's so objective. But that's another discussion. This convention of describing time signatures is useful to people reading sheet music though.
@@nexxxis That's what I meant when I said "alternative(ly.. typo) as shifting to a swing/shuffle groove with the occasional 8th note triplet thrown in" I'll edit for clarity
@KnzoVortex honestly just said that cause it's easier to grasp the concept on first read, especially for people that don't know this kinda theory well lol
This is incredible. I’ve always loved visualisers, but I always thought that the best ones would be somewhat hand-designed. Seeing this style of visualiser with the melodic elements, and the intense electronica really brings me back to what got me into electronic music all those years ago. Also, I wanted to ask if Puppet was ever an inspiration to you? Your stylings very much brings my mind back to his logo and his visual effects. I’ve always been a big fan of it. First time I’ve seen a video of yours, and I’m already subscribing. I like your art direction and sound design. (Also, was brought here from your shorts tutorial on the colour bass/stabs)
@@m-yday That's awesome dude so happy to hear and appreciate the kindness a ton! Puppet is awesome but my main inspiration visually would be Madeon and a few older Disciple Records teaser videos from years ago.

This is fire. Genuinely inspiring sound design. What piano are you using?
90% sure it’s the free Crow Hill Company VAULTS one, going off the sound
Could be wrong tho
It's the labs soft piano! Add Valhalla shimmer and it's instant floaty-ness
