I had the chance to meet Franck at the school he is a bass teacher. Such a wise guy ! he's so talented and nothing were pretentious, no exaggerated outward show at all. Just a good person giving me tips and advice on how to improve. I learned so much this day!
That awkward moment when... you realize that you double-clicked on the link and so that two audio streams are playing at once, creating a beat-matched delay effect. So. Many. Notes.
W0w. That's some crazy bass playing. I also like that the guitarist doesn't focus to much on the lowest string. That's what bothers me about 8 string players. Extended range guitars and you only play the lowest 3 strings?
DolganoFF I see what you mean, but the example of comparing a piano to a guitar is kinda... I don't know... Not BAD, just kinda invalid. It would make sense to not use all you strings if, maybe, you had 10 or 9. But if you have 8 strings and you're only using 3, that's just about 60% if your guitar that you're not using.(excluding the number of frets, because that's kinda irrelevant.)
Your remark could've been valid if he really only used 3 treble strings which is wrong. He descends to the lower strings when the music calls for it if you look attentively enough. There is no legal obligation to spend equal amount of time on all the strings. This is music.
DolganoFF Nonono, I like this guy's playing. I just don't like the typical 8 string style. They just don't play it as if the actual instrument has 8 strings.
Idk if these individuals were put here to inspire us or to put us down... it's a mindfuck though because i feel inspired and put down at the same time.
Charly Sahona Any idea what kind of bass rig is being used in this video? I couldn't help but notice the switch on the BT 7 String is set to Passive, meaning all the tone is coming through some kind of beautiful amphead and I must know what it is!
Gonna go study astro physics since that's Apperently easier than playing bass.
I still don't get tired of this great interesting instrumental piece.🤘👍
Huge! incredible duo, virtuosity, composition ... Sound.
Charly Bravo. Congratulations Franck. Congratulations Franck. Charly Bravo ...

Think about piano: it has 88 keys but how often the 1st and the 88th are played? Right, pretty much never. Should these be removed then?

Idk if these individuals were put here to inspire us or to put us down... it's a mindfuck though because i feel inspired and put down at the same time.
Great video and it goes a long way toward promoting extended range instruments and their possibilities.

So much chromatic...

Most I can handle on bass is 6 lol. maybe in 10 years i’ll upgrade to 8 string.
Is that Bumblefoot's thimble technique?
Same thing as Bumble but with a metal pick instead of a thimble.
YummyBananaFish
you're right man!!! it's a pick with metal edges !!!! a lot af gain is needed to make the high notes sound good.
did u all compose this together?
? So your saying you can play bass or the lower strings and then play guitar on the higher strings?
tosin does it ;)
Check out my New Album on my channel.

how the fuck is that pitch shift at 0:48 possible??? i dont recognize him using a pedal
+Hawolation he uses the pick as a fret
+nckSEVEN794 1. he has no pick 2. how could you use a pick as a fret and with what purpose? 3. theres no way to create this sound with a plastic pick
+Hawolation that's a technique called "sweeping"
