Moves do not stale in World of Light, or in any single-player mode aside from Home Run Contest. So feel free to spam your best move over and over with no consequence.

To pick up an item, you can jump and immediately directional airdodge into the ground toward the item. It's a lot easier than z-catching (pressing grab in the air to catch an item without airdodging) frame 1 out of a jump, especially with small items.

Hot take-- I feel that eevee is done so dirty with being a basic item and spirit, especially with the "eeveelutions" in the fight for eevees spirit being colour coordinated YOSHIS! Eevee needs justice in the next smash game.
So fun fact, in the final boss rush, you can wait indefinitely on the boss select stage, so if you use an auto heal spirit, you can heal to zero in between every fight

Well you’re actually right saying that a grab isn’t an attack. SSB has followed the RPS system of attack > grab > shield > attack. It is because of this that grabbing and attacking are two separate things. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong

i can never forgive that they made world of light single player ONLY in a game made for multiple players when the only other story mode in smash previously had multiplayer support
my tank spirit is defense boost majora mask skull kid (high defense with lifesteal trait) with juggernaut support spirit (increased def and slight atk increase at the cost of lower speed) and the same dojo as he did with andross. you get an extreme tank that heals itself. it's really good for characters like ganondorf but dk how well it would translate to grab only.
This is definitely a great achievement but let's see if you can handle the true ultimate challenge: can you complete super smash bothers ultimate's world of light without attacking. Keyword 'complete', you beating the game attackless is impressive but any percent is nowhere painful enough, this challenge will only be considered complete if you manage to beat all 618 battles battles in the world of light, on hard mode, without ever attacking.
For rathalos you can throw the traps to the ground and he will be stuck once he steps on them, way more useful and easier to do than hit him in the air
Gotta say I expected you to pull out the idj zairs after you got Lucas, that would have been hilarious but also probably not really the spirit of the run

This is a cool run, but grabs should never have been allowed. Grab is classified as it's own form of attack and is macro'd to shield and A (an attack button), making it indirectly linked to that as well. This run would have been more interesting and challenging with more item play emphasis and possibly footstools being the way forward for specific spirit strategies.
I feel it's against the spirit of the challenge to use any part ot a character's moveset which deals damage; the exception being spirits which allow for damage to be dealt through means which do not conflict with the previous statement and dropped items.
Personal assessment of the Master Hand level by someone that definitely doesn't do challenge runs of this game. One, holy crap I need to play this game again because that level looks awesome, and two. I would argue that you are in fact triggering the start of a grab. When fighting Master Hand, he has a distinct "grab and crush" action that's used on the player. This animation's start looks to my inexperienced eyes to be the same as the animation being used in the level where you get to play as Master Hand. I would say that the actual "grab" portion of that action is failing because of the nature of what you're fighting (light and darkness having no physical substance to grab onto), but because the animation is the same, that you're still pretty much using a grab. So I'd argue that it's fine for that specific level. That said, still awesome no matter what your take on that particular level is.

I believe the pitfall does work when the Rathalos is grounded, but you have to plant it in its path as it’s doing a dash attack
