That last trick curse came in full effect during finals at simple session 2020. Even still, finals was pretty damn epic. Here are highlights.

In short, we are the Ride BMX staff out on our own. We're building from the ground up and our goal is pretty simple. We want to continue what we love. We want to create great content, feature awesome riders, and contribute, push, and show why we love BMX. Seeing Courage doing his thing is a breath of fresh air. The kid is so underrated and under appreciated...
Courage finally overcoming his comp fears, that manual line should have nabbed his Atleast a podium finish considering it was one of the most street things I saw this finals, easily be the trick of the night

i don't think he was scared of contest he always tried big tricks in contest and tech manual line, even with the oppo crash at the end is 1st run was so good and deserves a better score (imo and the score dont matter in the end)
It's the best when you see the riders do something that even surprises themselves.
So happy right now to be running Prangenbergs frame, well deserved to everybody who participated.

That 3rd place run was more like a 8th place run. So many more sicker runs than that

Its been 20 years that I do BMX generation (THECOMEUP) destroyed bmx..Today the athletes have almost all the same style compared to the 2000s in early 2010

Agreed. We all know he's put out incredible parts, but his contest riding is so boring and lazy. Was weird seeing him crank at that pegs gap. Reed deserved podium IMO

Felix was definitely full of energy and big tricks, But Reed is my favorite to watch lately.. Reed had a top 3 run I feel
That feeling when people are carrying you to first place and you spray champagne all over everyone and their all yelling your name! Fuck I'll probably never know that feeling but it's got to be badass!

Crazy to see BMX go backwards as far as tricks! Everyone does the same shit nowadays! Used to be way more creative and hard from the older videos I've seen
I've been saying this for years, I'm 48 years old and always loved the sport, but days are long gone from when mirra etc would constantly amaze the fans with outstanding stunts,
Now it looks like these are just out for a daily practice run, boring as fuck. .

Some of these riders deserved higher standings. Alex D is a great rider but a 2 combined runs with 5 total slip ups doesnt deserve a 3rd place especially when there are 5 other riders who had flawless runs and place much farther down.

1 - Felix
2 - Courage Adams
3 - Hilder

I am blown away how bad this was. Imagine laying on a comp building a wicked huge course only to be used like this?. Absolutely no stand outs there what's so ever. A Mirra or Nyquist run back in the day would have blown this out the water. Absolutely zero progression, regression more like and so many tricks rolling out a 180, bar spins and tail whips what a yawn.
This is a street competition not park lol. I highly dought they would have actually qualified.
@@davon5047 Street Park whatever bro Mirra started his career with Flatland again a variation but does not detract from the fact I was less than impressed by the street sessions. Albeit everyone of them is a better rider than I could ever have wished to be.

There was a separate contest for the park riders, and that was pretty awesome. Plenty of Dave Mirra inspired riding there.

@@snakeplissken7887 Because head injuries suck really bad. Plus these guys are going so big that a crack to the head could be career-ending. I get it though; BMX has always had a gritty aspect to it and part of that is being as risky as possible.

Why show the same runs twice in a row. Just curious.
Some riders do the same run twice with the intention of bettering it at some point. We just cut it all together so people can watch the entire event as quickly as possible.

Imagine seeing a pro rider fall and break his head because he don’t wear an helmet. It’s a pro competition, those kind of things should be an obligation for tje pro riders
The most boring simple session ever. Where are all big riders? Raynolds, Roche, Barraco, Martinez, Natan Williams, Dan Lacey and so on... Don't want to diminish no one, still great skills but with the right names in this competition the first 10 riders wouldn't even made to the finals.
Nathan was there, and I think it´s their choice to take part
i wouldnt say most boring but they should have not taken out the last trick where the rider had more than one go at something grazy to pump up their score and not pulling it did not get points removed . beside simone the dudes you named are getting “older” and maybe this is not what they are into anymore. Life happens and so do injuries. segregating street from park is stupid, this park exist like less than week and riders have to restrict themselves in what ramp they can hit. As it gets more “professional” it gets less fun.
@@mairoldvali8478 I knew that Simple Session worked by invitation and was one of the top events of the year for bmx. the level of this riders compared of what the scene offers was very low.. take out the big big names, jung riders like Stevie Churchill, Sean Ricany and many more are on another planet. take a look the 3rd place run, embarrassing
Mattia Orrù i would not consider churchill young anymore and he lost his spark. They still invite people but they also had riders i knew nothing about. Like last year they had santiago laverde and this year the xup ride guy. I would rather watch original guys like these dudes than garret predictable run he has had for more than 5 years now it feels like. Simple session still is one of the top events for bmx.

I’m sorry but this is what’s wrong with judges best runs were. Reed and Courage those dudes killed it. Had great flow and tons a risk. Broc amd Felix has now speed or flow they almost looked lost. Awful. All about ur name and how many bar spins u could do
Courage slipped both runs. Reed should have been 2nd place at least. Felix killed it. And Broc, at least do a switch whip. We all know how easy it is for you to throw those regular. Just unfair considering what the judges deem worthy of podium nowadays

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you on the helmet front, but there was a separate contest for park riders which was far more impressive. And they all wore helmets.
