- This is the first video clip I shot, I just played til I felt like stopping.that's why it's 6 minutes.
It's not structured, so please bear with the erratic changes and things!
Thanks for looking!!
AGHGHGHGHHGH!!!!!
The tuning of everything is KILLING ME!!!!
.....Nice drumming thought
Cool drumming, hotdogman.
Well, thanks....
Yes I was in drum corps, hence the stick control.
But yes you are absolutely right, I need to get some rhythms going......and my hands and feet don't really speak the same language..lol
As soon as my wall pounding neighbours move, I am going back to 1/2 hr or so each night on the kit.
Cheers!
great stuff. cymbals are fine. but i don't recommend tuning your tome like that with clear heads. that would sound really good with some Evans G2 coated heads though. and watch the paradiddlediddle splits, just a little inconsistency.
i have a AA medium/heavy ride
AAX stage crash
and i still have my little B8 splash and B8 hats :) i like 'em
and i agree with expense. the AA ride and AAX crash (and stands) was 550 :o
@bumba220 Thank bud.
I barely have time to play never mind tune.
I know there is a great site dedicated to drum tuning.....goes right down to pitch, notes, resonance....pretty much everything but Einsteins theory!..lol
I need to get into beats more, rather than military based stuff...can you tell I was in corps for 11 years???
Anyways, thanks for the in.....always appreciate + stuff!
Thanks for the input.......do you think the toms are too low, too high, or what.
I was trying for a deeper sound, but I guess it didn't come out like that..LOL
let me know.
Thanks
my mother goddamner is sore after watching this.
Daryk44......what do you mean by tuning?
Do you mean they are pitched too high, or are not tuned far enough apart.
I tried to tune to the circle of 1/5ths but the top ended up piccolo and the bottom was a paper bag!..LOL
Give me your input, I appreciate anything that is not BS..
Thanks
white heads are coated that means it haves a diffrent sound
is it the camera? or the drums? :\
In my opinion you have the heads of the toms tuned too high. And the bottom heads could be too tight. Bottom or "reso" heads should be tuned slighter looser than batter side heads. The first key of tuning a drum properly is to get the head in tune with itself when you first put it on. Google how to properly tune a drum, follow it to the letter, and you will see an immediate improvement. I also suggest new, different heads than those. I like Evans. Stay away from thickies like pinstripes.
It may just be the video I'm not sure..but your drums are tuned very odd.
wow, that sucked! No dynamics, no groove, no point
