I can't believe people would be so cruel to you Marie-Anne! These comments say more about the person writing them than they do about you, it's their stuff - not yours. It's easy for people to hide behind a computer and spout hate and criticism. As ever you are so gracious, and that's commendable. Your true French Chic Ladies all adore you! And what I personally like, is how genuine you are and how you take the time to interact with your audience, replying to comments etc. Much love 😘
Thank you so much for all of the likes 😊

Here, here! I completely agree with you. Honestly, these negative, nasty comments sadly come with the territory of having any internet presence. I don't make any content, I merely comment on videos and have been called every name in the book. I pity the poor souls who must be so miserable that they treat others this way. Marie-Anne, brush off these comments and continue to make amazing content for us. For ever one "hater", there are a thousand fans ready to defend you. Bon jour!

I'm 67, losing weight, and have "graduated" from dressing frumpy to wanting to change my clothing habits as I need to find new garments anyway. Your videos have given me plenty of ideas and help format my new wardrobe as I switch from piece to piece. You have a gift for helping women to know that there is no "too fat", "too old", or "ugly" for a woman to want to look her best. Thank you for your videos, Marie-Anne!

Those comments have nothing to do with you and everything to do with them. There is NOTHING wrong with your hair. Some people would love to dress better but feel that they don't look good because of their size or shape. They get jealous of people with a smaller frame like yours. They lash out at you to make themselves feel better. You are wonderful and inspiring. Please don't listen to a word those people say. They need therapy and prayers.

Thank you, Marie! I am a middle aged woman who found you on RUclips a couple of weeks ago. I have cerebral palsy and I am also very short. As the years progressed, I became lazy over time with respect to my style. I found it very hard to find things that I could wear when I would walk into stores. Your RUclips videos have changed my perspective. By following your simple tips and advice, I am actually starting to look forward to try new styles, colors, and materials. I’ve always loved classic styles and disliked trendy fashion, such as ripped jeans and oversized sweaters. Shopping made me anxious and I would typically end up not purchasing anything or buying the wrong thing (using dressing rooms in shops are difficult, so I generally just have to guess before I decide to purchase or not). I had an art teacher whose favorite saying was "Just because you can doesn't mean you should." And my father used to advise me to "Look for the sad behind the mad". People can be so rude when they are frustrated or hurt or unhappy with themselves. The size of your following should reassure you that your words and advice are well received. I always look forward to hearing what you have to say, and like anything, no one is going to agree all the time.
I see your channel as kind of a video letter from a distant friend, sort of a fashion pen-pal, one who is honest but kind.
I find that people often comment or criticize things that are touch point for their own self-concept.
Carry on with your work. Your videos are fun and challenging, and honest. What else can you ask for?

Some people are truly miserable in this world and I feel so sorry for them. I absolutely LOVE your videos and the obvious fun you have making them. I appreciate you sharing the "not so fun side" of being a RUclipsr. Just know that those people are miserable and would never say such things to your lovely face. All the women took great care to dress beautifully and put on their makeup every day. On Saturday, the two hair salons were packed! This is a point of pride for all women regardless of height, shape, hair texture, etc…! Note: the village had and still has a population of 2,000. I read your book and enjoyed it. I've been watching your videos for quite some time and I can honestly say that you have helped me embrace my age with sass and sophistication. I've learned that my personal style is tailored with an artsy edge. I'm even planning my Fall 2022 capsule wardrobe thanks to you and Justine Leconte (who taught me about undertones and colors)! Thank you, Marie-Anne, for responding to these shocking and rude comments with elegance and without vulgarity. Almost three years ago I started watching your channel and soon after subscribed. I was trying to figure out how to style my body in a way that reflected how I felt inside. I did not feel old (I was 60 years old at the time) and frumpy, but I was dressing that way after retiring from a profession that required career clothes. You helped me to gain confidence in how to dress my body shape, add color, and use my career clothes in a more casual way. Of course, I do not dress exactly like you, but I dress exactly like me! About two years ago I began receiving compliments from strangers. Your advice was spot on in the changes I needed in my style.

I love her style advice! We are not all the same and some of us feel more comfortable in classic designed clothes and therefore gravitate towards channels that suit our taste; it’s why I enjoy Marie-Anne’s advice. I also am in awe of her bright personality and cheerful, happy disposition; which makes her videos so easy to watch. Style is not just about how you dress, it’s about how you treat people, and rude comments just show you are bereft of the kind of style that attracts others. Perhaps it could also mean that you are a very unhappy person and therefore need pity.

And even tho you are an elegant, sensible, beautiful lady, I am sure it can sting the soul sometimes. But most all of us viewers adore and appreciate you. Thank you for making great content despite those commenters poor judgement.
