- Thank you for watching this video, please don't forget that these are just my opinions based on my experiences, I'm not a "professional" and I would strongly advise that you research everything before you buy, never go off just my opinion, read and view as many reviews as you can.
The majority of my reviews are for products I have received free for review, this in no way affects my opinion.
Unless otherwise stated, any premade coils used in my videos have been supplied by PC Coils
Please don't ask what my favourite product or what do I recommend, hand on heart all my opinions for each product are in the video.
Ensure that you check your resistances and batteries before firing any device, vaping safety must always be your first priority.
Best rba I've tried had a few but this is the best flavour I've had. Thank you for your time Mr T
Think I'd leave the coiling rod installed until all the cotton is stuffed in just to keep the process under control. Good demo...👍👍
Saw this on their website & had 'questions' re: the vertical coil. You've answered them. Thanks!
The rain noise is actually quite nice.. in my humble opinion 😌. Great review as always. 🙏
Nice review Todd! I was lucky and got the wicking right in first try. Im using the King Bo Monarchy Tank and had no issues with fitting. Actually it's the best RBA i've ever owned for using 3mm ID Coils. The flavour is just spot on!
So weird, mine just wouldn't sit flat at all and the positive contact wouldn't sit far enough down :(
@@ToddsReviews forgot to mention it's the second version of the King Bo tank. Seems like yours is the first one! Unlucky 😂
I feel like we went back to 2016/2017. Thanks for showing it though
Another great review from Todd's Reviews. I like that the tried something different for this RBA. I am definitely considering picking this one up. Thanks for all of the valuable information and input, Mark!
I'm using the cthulhu kraken tank, the 3mm air pin, works in my San without problems. Luckily I was successful on the first try with muji cotton, no leaking, great flavour, i like this bridge. Thank you for your work, I like your videos very much.
It takes me back to the old days where you had to get it just right.
Why not is correct!!! If I didn’t live in Australia I’d definitely buy one to try it out. Bloody Aussie government sucks. Great review thanks for that 🇦🇺👍
Great and in-depth review, I got it on pre order and love it, I put a wee bit more cotton in the juice channels and not had a problem, and also using the veepon tank, great flavour with the coils that came with the rba, all in all love it and it will be constantly rotating around my other rba and tanks and mods, my option of course, yep great review, happy vaping Easter.
Grabbed one of these on pre order, built it and put it back in the box, haven't got round to trying it yet since i've been only doing mtl lately, it makes sense that you would need more wattage for similar heat, the air is going directly through the whole coil as opposed to hitting one portion of it, and rather than a thin tube of wick and liquid it's completely surrounded by juice too so would stay a lot cooler all around.
Thanks, Mark. I can't think of a thing to add or question that you did not cover. Like a lot of us, I'm a fan of Cthulhu Mods. Happy "fernangling"!
Agree totally with the trying new approaches. But your mention of cotton droop sets me off when I refill a boro or tank and it drains onto a mod. At first, I thought it was atty design but I've since noticed that it sometimes happens even on my old standards. I still can't grasp why it happens, but in this age where every company seems to be cutting corners to improve profits, for the time being I'm blaming it on a change in cotton. Yes, in at least 2 or 3 brands I've used.
Great review..love the rain..
Great review Mark and been waiting for someone to review this so I could see a “professional” use it an make up my own mind. Totally understand the fernanagle comment and my opinion explains it perfectly 😂. At £30 it’s worth it just to give it a go.
Thanks Todd you have confirmed what I thought the issues would be and saved me wasting my money (as times are hard), kudos for trying something new to Cthulhu but ill pass on this one.
This is different. I like outside the box as well when it comes to vape. Enjoyed seeing this
Very good! I like the idea and I'd say this is a good start as far as a design. I'm sure I'll try one out, but just from your review there are some things that can be improved upon. It would be great if this sparks some other companies to give this idea a try and I could also see a squonking rda using an idea like this. I do have a vertical coil sqonking rda, but the cotton is on the inside of the coil and I think this is a better idea. I definitely could see this idea with a split post on one side and a round barrel about the height of the NTSU. I do like that they are always coming out with stuff that's just a bit different than the norm.
I like to tinker, one to have in the draw and i like to support innovation. Thanks for the video!
Good thing I watchrd this video the only two tanks I have is snail tanks and a King boo.
Thx Mark. Not for me tho as fairly new to building. Might check out the 520+ tho. Cheers mucka
Personal I think it's gonna leak like ... ? To much wicking issues with this verticale build..for 'not' better flavour.
Thx for the review Tod
Some flaws but I really like they trying something different, always a good thing. Maybe it will work better as an rdta style boro.
Good review as always, always liked the vape I got off my attys I use a verri al coil with, and the price is good g prolly pick it up when it becomes available
Some things I have found with wicking this rba
Firstly. Best to keep the coil rod in place during the whole process so that the bottom of the coil doesn’t get clogged up with it, and pack it in pretty tight *everywhere* even behind the posts and you won’t have any leaks. Think about how a stock coil is wicked, tight but not too tight.
Secondly for my preference having the same size air pin as the inner coil diameter makes a noticeable difference with how smooth it is.
Thirdly spaced coils are epic on it, like really really good in comparison to contact coils. But again this is for smoothness of the air flow.
Fourth. I wish we had more vertical coil RTAs, this was the first vertical build like this I have personally used in a closed chamber since the kangertech rbas way back when and it’s just nice to play with.
Glad you enjoyed the video.
Great and interesting review. Thanks!
Another great review , thanks
Thanks for the review Boss😊
I like the idea of it.
The vaping god dont mess up 😂
You did a really good job with that build, much better than Cthulu's tutorial. When I saw Cthulu build it, I thought how on earth do you guage how much cotton is too much/not enough and that is one of the things that you mentioned.
I had been waiting to see a review by someone who knows what they are doing and you're explanation of it all was really good.
Just one thing that I wanted to know is, say if you use the 4mm airflow pin but you put in a 2.5mm coil, how can you get 4mm airflow if the air is going straight through the inner diameter of the coil?
It must restrict it because there is nowhere else for air to go because it is packed with cotton.
I think there are too many variables with this RBA, it is fussy about which type of Boro tank you use, the pins may not make connection and also needing an adjustable positive pin because of the height of it may not be long enough. Not forgetting the "fandangaling" that is required too.
It's good to see something different, but I think there is too much fandangaling required to get it to function well. The price is reasonable but only if you don't end up throwing it in the pile because of the frustration after a couple of builds.
Anyway, great review as always, thank you Mark. ❤
Good point on the air flow and holding my hands in the air, I know nothing about fluid dynamics but yes, it "slightly" reduces the feel of the draw.
@@ToddsReviews I thought it might restrict it a bit, thanks for replying Mark 👍
probably not my bag... but an interesting twist on "normal"
Good 1 Mark

Reminds me of my old zippo
HI Todd, can you let me know what tank is best to use with this rba, us newbie's have no idea and the kraken is like £20 and out of stock everywhere, cheers
Great review mark but how would you spell fernangle ? 🤣👌
Hmmmm, probably was the wrong word for that moment in time LOL
Hi Tod. I wanted to ask you something, but does the liquid feed happen only in the side holes or also from below? And can you finish the liquid completely? Only up to the top holes? Or can you also reach the bottom hole? I hope my questions are clear, thanks.
It feeds from the bottom and side
Both and yes it'll wick right down but IMO if vaping at like over 20w, you want to keep it topped up.
Would we consider most pod coils to be vertical, sortof?
Correct 👍
Probably should have tried a Cthulhu tank?
Probably should have started with Hello?
@@ToddsReviews sorry, wasn't meant to be sarcy. Cthulhu do make a good tank at a good price with the bottom opening. Might have avoided your problems.
For the record, I do enjoy your reviews especially as I favour a rdl draw rather than the clouds that most reviewers favour.
Sorry, ever since I went over 50yrs old, I'm just a sarcy feker ;)
You aren't wrong but the tanks that I showed are the ones that I use in my boro mods, I can't keep all the boro tanks on the market for reference, no matter how handy that would be :)
“Why bother we have a system that works with rbas, it works well doing it the way we are doing it. Why be different for differnce sake??”” Sorry I had to be that guy 😉
If only I had said the same in the video 😉
Why, why bother! 😂
Because it isn't like you have anything else going on in your life , you know you want one, DO IT!
@@ToddsReviews😂😂👍🏻
Was looking at this wasn't sure with it being a vertical coil rba lol 😆
