when I watched one of those “10 things you didn’t know about this game” videos it said that a “Dreamcast Sonic” was originally supposed to be in the game. so this was what I imagined

the Sonic Heroes voice clips coulda been better imo. I love "Blast Away!" I know it would get annoying hearing it every time you boost but its sdtill better than "yEs"

This is what Generation’s premise should of been.
Sonic going after Eggman through time, going through his history and himself reflecting on it.
It could of been a heartfelt love letter to the series and relection on Sonic’s character.
A heartfelt story.

@@habibahmed9389 Have to admit, this mod perfectly sums up how the Sonic fanbase views Sonic as a character. Each game seems to represent a different take of Sonic's overall look and character in the fan's eyes. lol

I'm suprised no one has did a mod yet in Seaside Hill that includes Knuckles and Tails running along with Sonic like in they were in the original Sonic Heroes game. I'd love to see that! I'd also like to see a mod with Jaleel White voice clips for Classic Sonic. It's a shame SEGA didn't get in touch with him for Generations (or even Forces) like they were going too, but I'd love to hear him voice Sonic again!

They tried to ask Ryan Drummond to come back and voice modern Sonic, but they gave him a terrible contract so he didn't take the job.
Eric Hestand The worst part about that was he actually outperformed Roger Craig Smith in the auditions. He was the hands-down favorite. But SEGA was totally uncooperative with his union and fielded him an awful contract, so he had to turn it down. RCS meanwhile volunteered to voice Sonic for peanuts and he's been Sonic ever since.
I saw Sonic Adventure Sonic and got a sudden rush of nostalgia followed by the intense hatred of trying to Light Speed Dash in that game.

Dreamcast Sonic was gonna be the third Sonic for Generations, but Sega scrapped him, so this just feels weird watching a mod of Dreamcast Sonic in generations

If this was how was actually made, I would have loved it. Hearing Ryan drummond, Jason griffith, roger Craig Smith, and especially jaleel white for classic sonic would have brought nostalgia and joy. Hearing roger all the time gets annoying sometimes

My favorite part of all of this is how you gave 06 Sonic the blue streaks from the blue gem as a boost instead of the boost he currently has.
There is a minor fault in this mod. Heroes Sonic never extends his arms behind him when running.
Actually, originally there were supposed to be 3 Sonics. That’s why there are THREE time periods (classic period of stages, Dreamcast period, and modern period), THREE RIVALS (originally it was supposed to be metal for classic, shadow for Dreamcast, and silver for modern) and THREE bosses (death egg for classic, chaos for Dreamcast, dragon for modern)
But the voice actor for dreamcast sonic didn't want the part anymore so we only had two sonics honestly sonic generation s was already good but It could've been done a little bit better
Stretch 324 yeah but most people think that it was just a Pre-game drawing board idea, when in reality they were planning on adding Dreamcast sonic up until stage development and story development for the game were already finished with

Mike Anthony it’s because it’s the same style of sonic with a mega gimick added to it. It’s just called Dreamcast era because that’s where adventure was, however heroes was still from the same era as adventure.

i mean, it did age well, it looks brand new still. Scenery in this game is nothing short of amazing
And trust me, it's hard to believe Unleashed looks even better and is older. Really highlights how bland and boring Forces ended up
Hearing all voices back to back really highlights how bland and bad Roger is as Sonic compared to the other two. This mod is really cool, nonetheless

Bornheck Alright here’s the deal. You know those types of individuals who wield a voice tone that is settling. Well Roger does not belong in the following category and just doesn’t fit the role of voice acting sonic. Even with the scripts provided to roger in the more modern games I’m sure Jason would have done a better job by modifying his tone and emotion. The previous sentence is just an assumption and can not be proven, but Im sure most other civilians that possess an understanding of who sonic really is would have agreed with me. That is why I believe Jason is much more superior than Roger when talking in regards to voice acting sonic.
Dzynphix I’m a Big Ryan Drummond Fan But I Agree, Jason is the best for Voicing Modern Sonic. They should have kept the Dreamcast and Modern Games or at least put Dreamcast in the game and Kept Jason So they got the Perfect Sonic game.
@@SonicTailsFan-xf3xb Roger has plans to stop acting i think so Ben Schwartz (movie sonic actor) might take over, the problem with that is that Ben's voice suits movie Sonics design a hell of a lot more than modern sonic, sorry but I just cant see Ben as modern sonic, but maybe he could. I gave his voice a chance in the sonic movie and really liked it so idk. I will always be a Jason fan but Roger isn't that bad imo, probably cus I grew up with Roger as sonic as well as Jason
Imagine Generations was like this, when Sonic went back to older stages he reverted back to how her looked back then but reimagined in a modern way. That would’ve made my childhood. xD

There’s a mod to have the fov and speed from sonic unleashed
And green hill, chemical plant, and sky scantury is classic modern sonic
Adventure Sonic was a little misguided...
Boost/ Attack "Go!" From Light Speed Dash, "Woo-hoo!" From Twinkle Circuit, and "YES!!" When he blows up the cannon in Sky Deck.
Jump: maybe his lifting sound or his pushing sound.
Damage: easy. The same as the game
Death: use his falling sound from adventure 1
Tripping: there's a noise for him running into a wall. If not, then his throwing sound could work.
Trick End: "O-kay!" From Ice Cap when you go off a ramp
There's possibility in creativity
When it got to Unleashed Sonic it felt like more like Unleashed than Generations just because the voice lines were changed.
My favorite part of all these videos is the intro. Reminds me a lot of the classic sonic I listened to growing up.

This would be a good premise for a potential sequel. The time eater returns with a vengeance and a mind of its own, and is able to alter the characters' appearance to how they looked in different periods of time.

I am still waiting for the Jaleel White mod over Classic Sonic, considering he was thought of at one point in development and I will never let that go.

@@Flashguy4826 Trouble with that is it's equivalent to designing a character in a game. Once you decide to go about it a certain way, you ultimately never change it. Since he started silent, he remains silent.
Similar to how, for instance, Wario in Brawl is based off WarioWare and his moves are janky, well if Wario made it into Melee, he would have had a Wario Land moveset and that would have stayed with him for the rest of the series with the occasional new move here and there, including Brawl, where perhaps the biker outfit would have been the alternate set of costumes instead of his original one.

Classic does a voice line. Stand still for 3 minutes in Sonic CD and a faint "I'm outta here." can be heard while Sonic jumps off the screen.

As someone who has played Sonic Adventure 2, I really enjoyed seeing the Soap Shoes used in SA2 in better quality since the original version was really bad quality.
It came out in a time when graphics like that were pretty damn good, compared to today's games it's nothing special, but still gotta give it a break
What if generations was actually like this. Sonic took on the designs from each game in their respective levels.

Imagine a Sonic Generations 2 that uses 4 different playstyles depending on the level/act. Classic, Dreamcast/Adventure, Heroes, and Boost.
