Might sounds dumb but does this area correlate to the 3.8 at all. I have a bk1 and I need to swap the o2 b1s2 and I don’t wanna spend 350 at a shop when I can spend 35 at home
James Palmer I never had the chance to work on a 3.8. I’m sure it’s the same process, the difference is the downpipe isn’t coming out of a turbo. I’m sure someone on RUclips has change an o2 on a 3.8.

@@jordan_.zx10r Honestly why not just get both and install them at the same time? The downpipe should be like $200 more... But if you were to choose one go with the downpipe, that's what everyone else does
What’s up man, I’m looking at doing the same to my 2.0 I know it’ll get the CEL I actually already have it since the cat is already bad and I know that I’ll need a tune to get rid of it. However is it possible to run it like that without a tune for a while? Or will it hurt the car
juan castillo hey whats up bro! You can definitely run it un-tuned. Keep in mind it will probably run slightly more rich. I would make your next mod, a tune. I didn’t run a tune on mine for months after I did this install and nothing happened. Hope this helps and mod on bro 🤘

CeddThaKid we ended up getting one, it just took some time for the computer to realize the o2 sensors were missing. To fix it you may want to look into a custom tune to tune out the sensors.
Dusk motorsports do you think a defouler would work I hear it can take off a cel and help you pass smog but I’m. It sure I need more info so I can do it on my Genesis

Just installed mine. Love how the o2 sensors screw in right in front of the top stud... But it sounds amazing going through the factory resonator!

Derek I’m not sure about New Jersey law but you are deleting a cat and you will get a check engine light from the O2 sensors

How was smog? I’m thinking of doing this with my genesis but gutting the cats. Could you hear the turbo whistle more?
Definitely more turbo whistle and depending on where you live, you will not pass smog in CA
