I love cruising and I'm claustrophobic. I booked an interior cabin for 7 days. First 1 hour of being in the room, I'm 2nd guessing my life choices and thinking that I can't be here. I realize, like any other vacation, rooms are just use to sleep, shower and relax for couple of hours. For anyone that have that phobia. Relax, breath, don't over work yourself.

Many casinos offer free cruises for different cruise line partners. Sign up for a players card at the casinos and show some playtime with the card instead. Eventually the casinos will send you offers. MGM will offer cruise vouchers from Celebrity cruise line, Venetian offers Princess cruise line, Caesar offers Norwegian and Wynn offers Viking cruise lines. Check with the players/rewards desk at your casino(s) you play at.
In October of 2016 I took the Breakaway cruise from NYC to Bermuda. 2 Hurricanes hit Bermuda that week.. People died & were helicoptered off, a fire broke out & carpet had to get replaced, parts were flooded out. My solo cabin was teeny. We never got to Bermuda.
Agree. Do not obscure the great shrooms behind weird stuff. Shrimpies always speak for themselves. I love flounder... retty much mini halibut. Caught them with Grampaw decades ago. Reallly good eating.

You could have probably ordered a second bacon-wrapped shrimp where you were - I know some cruise lines have started charging extra for third (and fourth and fifth) entrees but NCL doesn't appear to be one. (The MDRs do share the same kitchen too.) But it probably didn't hurt to take a short walk between entrees! Also, you've found a sauce that works as well on fried fish as ketchup!

If you play in the ships casino and earn tier points, introduce yourself to the hosts, you can get free specialty dining, spa and salon comps. In addition the casino players club will send you free offers which include staterooms, freeplay and drink packages. I like Princess as they cater to more older clientele, hence fewer kids onboard. Food offering tends to be more upscale and other than specialty dining is free. Look for cruises on newer ships. The food, service and dining areas are much nicer than the older ships. I am off on a 15 day Hawaii cruise, 3 weeks from now on the Discovery Princess out of LA. All free except for port tax. Can't beat FREE!

Newer ships are more expensive. Maybe you can do casino match that I previously described in a comment to get a newer ship. The cruise lines are all different. Carnival is the party cruise ship, Holland is more for older cruisers. Royal Caribbean is for families. Princess and Celebrity are sort of in the middle.

Restaurants make it dark to prevent you from seeing the prices and how their helping customers with their napkins in the lap. TAP WATER
The dining room is dark but all of your photos of the (good looking) food are really nicely well-lit with no shadows. Good work!
