Why is it that everything that can be applied to others, can never be applied to trump. If trump wasn't trying to dodge convictions that he knew were pending, and forthcoming when he was in the White House, he probably would not be seeking to go back to the White House. That residence for him, is just like an order of protection
One thing the judge is probably thinking is how this will have him being judged. Everybody involved in these Trump prosecutions have been put under a legal magnifying glass. He really wants to put this past him in a way that won't boomerang back on him. Any judgement that can be stayed like a jail sentence will only keep him in the bullseye. I expect him to pass something like a suspended sentence that can't be stayed.

His daughter is the president of Authentic Campaigns, which raised 93 mil off Trump's trial for democrats. They used his trial in their solicitation emails for money. 20mil of that fund raising went to Adam Schiff US Senate campaign.

QUESTIONS: The recent Supreme Court ruling states that a sitting US President has absolute immunity for 'core' items and presumed immunity for 'official acts'. The question now becomes, what exactly are 'official acts'? Only those items that do not violate the US Constitutional rights of American citizens? (As the US President swore an oath to uphold and defend the US Constitution).
Exactly. This isn't the blank check everyone thinks it is, there will be a lot of arguments revolving around the definition of "official act." I'd imagine lawyers will reference past immunity cases involving other officials to figure that one out.

Twisting the interpretations however they see fit. Without some sort of limitations on 'official acts', American would basically have a 'King' or 'Queen' ruling over America.
