This is a super video Clara! My husband was just fantasizing yesterday about retirement projects and he said--ya know I can really imagine getting into animation. And I said--hey--I know Clara just made a how-to video on that, so I'm sitting here checking it out. Your video is really really great--practical, do-able, fun, encouraging! Just learning about the tripod arm for the phone and the animation ap is very helpful. Thanks!
Thanks Jessica, that's so great to hear! I bet he would enjoy our stop motion animation course [artprof.org/courses/stop-motion-animation/] and also our Veggie Animation course where you create an animated movie on a 3D object! artprof.org/courses/veggie-animation/
Thanks for the amazing video. I am curious how you did the lighting to make it so even and bright in the picture. Where are the light sources and how do you prevent any shadows?
We have a video here about photographing your artwork! Feel free to check it out: artprof.org/learn/fundamentals/photography/how-to-photograph-your-2d-3d-art/ - Mia, Art Prof Staff
Is there a way to do onion skinning with a video (frame by frame) you import that you want to work off of? Like you want to trace the frames of a preselected video rather than the live action of what you're drawing. Make sense?
