I have not seen this group of actors on The skit but there is another one that I've watched over the years. This is my first time finding someone who has a reaction to it and I really loved your take on it because I didn't see it that way from the beginning I saw it as creation following into Jesus sacrificing for us so that we could be in relationship with God. But I do see what you are saying with what you see it as. My granddaughter has always loved this video and song since she was about six years old she's almost twelve now and not a Christian yet. I cry everytime I realize how much He''s done for me by taking my place in this video puts it so firmly in place the distractions of the world and Satan trying to keep us separate from God. Thank you

I remember when this skit first came out. The thing that always bugged me was that they made God seem like He was struggling to hold back the enemy. Besides that, it's always been a very moving piece.
I personally liked that they portrayed it like that. To me, it represents Him as Jesus in the flesh taking on sin. The struggle is the carrying of the cross on calvary where He became sin for all the world.
well its true...the enemy has a stronger hold on the girl cause he had such a strong influence. an example of God being put on the backburner...but he won in the end!
I get what you are saying. If he was entering battle, there would be no contest. She hadn't given him complete power to fight for her yet. We do have free will and he won't force us to believe in him and accept his salvation and redemption. He held them back enough to give her a chance. Besides God never promised us this life will be easy for us, or struggle and pain-free, even after salvation. In fact, he promises us there will be sacrifice and struggle, persecution etc. He only promises us eternal salvation after death.
