Izaya is my favorite (aside from Shizou) character in DRRR!! And I really love Ichigo (which he also voices).. It's funny because sometimes Izaya sounds *spoiler maybe?* Ichigo's hollow form in the show.. (now im just rambling lol)
not really... JYB's voice when you hear it compared ACTUALLY to him voice acting, sounds different. now, It's not THAT different, but it is pretty different. you can tell when he's voice acting and when he's not.
i actually met him!! he signed my wooden tensa zangetsu sword (i was actually cosplaying as young zangetsu lol) ... and i had no bloody idea he voiced izaya!!!!!!! - internal screaming intensifies - i would have asked him to sign something as izaya too TT^TT dammit

His Izaya is gonna be great. He will become, like, so viscous with his voice acting. If you've ever played Persona 4 he voiced Adachi really well because Adachi kinda do0-do0 and Adachi had those crazy moments. Johnny also has a good evil laugh and he is like a messiah.

As soon as he said that he was working with Johnny Young Bosch, I screamed. And then on the video he screamed. I started laughing but then freaking out so much I got lightheaded. My number one favorite voice actor playing one of my top favorite anime characters. My sister was going "ARE YOU HAVING A NERDGASM?" xDD

So we have a character who is a mischievious basterd that toys with others, finds ways to create as much havoc as possible, and has a legion of fangirls. My god... Izaya is Loki!!
Don't misunderstand, JYB just isn't the type to act all happy and excited about things. The fact that he was cracking jokes about how evil his character is shows that he likes the part. It's not that he is happy about the role, he's just one of those people that isn't very excitable.

Well the american ADR cast for this anime is really well picked. They have the budjet. Johnny is perfect as Izaya, Crispin is perfect as Shizuo and my pal Yuri kun is perfect as the adorable and crazy Shinra. Miss you at AX JB. "But I really want BLURAY release not DVD, you guys can do better than that right.." as Izaya would say it.
