SUP Surfing in New Hampshire

- 30 min sunset SUP Surfing session before dark on the Wednesday of the Hurricane Teddy swell. Besides photos, we had not filmed surfing so far the entire trip hahaha it was just so firing no one wanted to sit out! so I wanted to make sure we got some clips before the swell disappeared all together. The waves were definitely starting taper of, but there were still some beautiful overhead sets coming in! This day itself was so special, we surfed from dawn till dusk, and only took off my wetsuit for 2 hours midday for lunch! Can't wait for my next hurricane strike mission to the East Coast. So much more potential than a west coast hurricane, even in Baja. This session was so fun, I love surfing offshore beach break!! BIG Thanks to my brother for filming!!!!
You should check out the Solo-shot system for filming yourself... that way bringing more sup clips to me :)
Hahaha yes! I definitely miss some really good sessions not having a filmer all the time. Maybe a new year present for myself hahaha

Thank you Rick!!! Our trip was such a blast, seriously a perfect surf trip for me. So many epic spots right there, truly eye opening!! It was so nice to surf high quality, new waves all alone! Stoked to see sup surfers at 75% of spots. Way higher ratio than over here

We almost went out at jenness around 9am after surfing Straws. But we opted for fox hill then instead. Surfed 6 spots that Wednesday haha it was firing!!!
Looked like a lot of fun! I have a question :) When you surf backside you had your paddle toe side. This is pretty much my preferred position as it's so easy to cut back\slide the tail. I noticed a lot of people switch the paddle to the other side for re-entries but i just don't find it that comfortable... Could you throw some light on it...
Hahaha yes the backside bottom turn to paddle reach over seems to be very popular. I rarely do it and I keep paddle on toe side, while backside, the majority of the time. I feel like that paddle switch is a waste of time and doesn't let you begin your turn as quick. But there are a few people, like Giorgio gomez, who can do the backside paddle switch snap turn quick enough that it works and is clean to watch! Toe side is just always the easier, fluid option!!
