i love these gritty ugly 90s cartoons. most mainstream example i can think of is beavis and butthead. i know a lot of it is due to the technological limitations of the time but it's so charming and i can't help but adore the aesthetic of it.

BokanProductions, I think I was being sarcastic or something. Getting a poke in the eye is no small shakes. These Russian toons can be pretty twisted. Check out Hen. Another fave is Big Bang Dog.
*SPOILER* The ending reminds me of that artwork of the evil doll suspended on cables which is swung back and forth and side to side, which at first sight you might feel pity for it since it looks like it's suffering, but when you get up close, you hear an audio of the doll wishing to hurt you then You don't feel pity for it anymore, you could even feel glad he's trapped and "punished" by being swung lile that. Edit: the artwork is called "MANIC LOVE" from Jordan Wolfson, and it wasn't cables but chains.

The x-ray doctor creature was really cool all those demon doctors had really rad designs n shit good cartoon.
The final church/museum scene based on story "Viy" by Nikolai Gogol, and x-ray man-machine represent the Viy character itself.
