I just received my new UNIT DLAB 5m, and I was able to test it during this nice little session in the waves in Ibiraquera, Brazil!
The wind was really light, around 10/12 knots, with nice long rather powerful waves.
I loved the session, and my buddy Douglas was able to make me some pictures by following me in Kite ;-)
I was able to ride about 1 hour before the wind dropped, and I was pretty happy with my waves!!
The DLAB looks even more powerful and stable than last year, amazing!!!

I see the D-Lab version is much better in waves than the non-DLab. nice shreddin'
Thanks for your comment but I don't think the D-Lab is much better, just a little bit better ahah ! the classic version wotks really good as well in the waves. The dlab makes it's difference especially in light winds, lighter and stiffer, so it's better for pumping ;-)
Que du surf pour une fois !! c'est ce que je préfère en wingfoil, surfer les vagues... Et cette session était plutôt cool pour ça !! Et toi, qu'est-ce que préfères ??
L'intérêt de la wing, pour moi, c'est surfer les vagues !

What is your favourite fanatic foil for small wave riding in light wind conditions ??
Aero free 1250 / 1000 or aero carve ?
Also the new collab mast makes a big difference ? Should I get the 82 cm or 90 cm ? What is the best foil / mast combination for small wave riding in light wind conditions ? I live in Miami

Hi Nicolas, My favorite is the Carve 900 in less than 15 knots, and when the wind is stronger the Carve 750. The Free works really good as well, maybe for less powerful waves it's even better ;-) in my video "wingfoil wave riding en bretagne" I was using the free 1000... I'm preparing a review about fanatic foils for next week I hope it will be online ! and yes the collab mast is a little bit stiffer and lighter, always nice, and I recommend you the 82cm, with short fuse 60cm ;-) thje most versatile for you in Miami I guess will be the free 1000 with short fuse, everybody loves it, really easy to use in a large variety of conditions

C’est bluffant ce spot qui semble extrêmement flat avec un gros shorebreak, probablement à cause du vent bien off?
c'est un pur spot de vagues !! vent side/side off, et ce jour là les vagues étaient bien espacées avec de la période, de la houle longue ;-)
