The Griffon-engined Spitfires are the hotrods of the warbird world. My two-aircraft warbird hangar would have a Griffon-engined Spit and a Hawker Sea Fury. Glorious!
The most beautiful looking and sounding aircraft ever built in my opinion.
The only piston engine that could top the sound of a Merlin.
Absolutely Bloody Awesome ✝️🇺🇸😀😀😀😀😀
What a thoroughbred!
Just beautiful! What a glorious sound. 👍🏻
absolutely bloomin' gorgeous in every respect...
The Griffon had a sound of pure aggressive power, but give me the chiming purr of the Merlin any day
My good friend Bill Williams flew this Mk during photo rec duties. With great respect Bill.
I appreciate the Griffon Engines in the Spitfires, but I just love the sound of the Merlin engines better! Cool video!
When I was at RAF Brawdy in the early 1980's. this aircraft PS915 was one of the gate guards.
I heard one of these over Plymouth today. Incredible one off sound
Magnificent. What a machine.
Fabulous sound .
I am a stones fan and this sound is as good 🤪
Wonder if the Star Wars sand racers were based on this sound, glorious 👌
Il Massimo!!!!!Grazie per il video!!!!!!
Moderni avion prošlog vremena
I do believe the Griffon sounds a tad more beastly than the DB605.
Very nice indeed❤😎👍!
Nice camera work and editing, only found your channel today, well done, great quality. subscribe 👍
Awesome, thank you!
Get that tail wheel retracted!
Quelle patate il a !
Hes sniffing out for bf109s..😂
The english make sexy engines
oops English even
Wasnt this spit used on the NHS Thankyou flights !
No. The NHS Spitfire flights were done with PR XI PL983 of The Aircraft Restoration Company. ruclips.net/video/A2flq-4p4pQ/видео.html
If they fixed the wheels the Spitfire would have been twice as good.
The Merlin was the original orchestra with the Griffon producing a great cover version but not quite that perfect.
