This one is a lot more devious than most punishments since he legit thought everything was going wrong. He wasn't prepared to be scared or embarrassed like in other punishments, his day was just messed up suddenly. Those "unprofessional" kids perfectly attacked his social anxiety.
It's not the first time they've done this. There was a Sal punishment once where he got trapped in an elevator with a person pretending to be sick and another guy with a cat.

Seriously? This was probably one of the easiest punishments on the show, I'd MUCH rather be pissed off for a few minutes and find out it's a joke than being completely humiliated.

Honestly, I just think sal is a very anxious person, he doesn’t like to make a huge scene in public, so maybe that’s why sal asked for the kid not to yell since it was very quiet. Also,it wasn’t just 5 minutes that they tried shooting the same bit, it was probably at least 10-20 minutes per try because they can’t pull the same prank on the same people sitting there. So yeah, I totally understand why sal acted the way he did😂

Reynaldo Collamat Jr Sal wanted the little kid to be quiet because it was loud in that area where they were filming the bit, but instead of being quiet, the kid yelled very loudly "Stick em up!", which frustrated Sal because the kids were already messing up. :)

Yeah, Sal is an uptight prick, but the relevant part is that his friends know it and exploit it.

Sal is such a sweet guy on camera, but every time they do a punishment where he doesn't think he's being filmed (where it's going to go on air) he's a totally different person
I think it's just a combination of his general sensitivity and his constant abuse at the hands of the others. I think they're all decent people in real life.

Well, "is it against the rules" is a pretty dumb question considering the punishment is entirely up to them. For the wedding punishment, they blindfolded Sal and didn't tell him anything. For Murr's skydiving punishment, they tricked him into thinking that they were going to teach skydiving classes for a challenge. There are literally no rules for punishments.

After watching this video for the first time several weeks ago, at random points throughout the day I remember the kid yelling “stick them up” at the top of his lungs and it makes me laugh everytime. This has become a real problem for me and has begun to affect my work. Apparently people find it unsettling when their waitress starts laughing as she picks up the dirty plates of the food they just ate
I know I'm 3 years late, but that's hilarious! If I witnessed that and you explained what you were laughing about, I'd have the same reaction. This has always been one of my favorite punishments and it never fails to Crack me up

Sal really didn’t act as bad as I thought he would after reading all the comments. His reaction seemed pretty normal considering that’s exactly what Joe, Q, and Murr were going for.
