couldnt beleive it when i saw the video ive owed the van for a couple of years now still going strong theres a few changes ive made but overall it still looks the same happy days
Tiny, but that makes for better fuel economy. Lacking toilet and shower, but that's not feasible in a model this small. Lovely paint finish. Basic interior, but enough for a fun getaway. I'm considering just removing the back seats from my Focus CMax and rigging some basic curtains, and just going out for an overnight adventure in that. Park near a scenic area, wake up and go for a walk etc. Just needs a camping stove for hot food an away we go. Got to make it happen, should be fun.
Hello, I know it is a number of years since the daihatsu hijet build, but I noticed you had fitted a towbar. I have just bought a Piaggio porter and would like to fit a towbar to it. Where did you get the bar and how does it fit? Charlie.
Thank you for your reply. I have a Combi Camp trailer tent with a gross weight of 300Kg which I hope to tow. I didn't even feel that it was there on a Fiat 500, so I'm hoping it will be OK on the van.
Would you happen to have the dimensions of the inside of this van? I'm attempting to plan out my build before I get an Atrai, but there are no posted specs. How wide is the floor? How long is it from the hatch to the base of the front seats? How tall is it from floor to roof? How tall is the bit before the windows start?
@@TheCampervanBuilder Thanks for the reply. I asked because google doesn't have the answer. In fact, there are no interior dimensions for ANY kei vans posted online for that matter. It's the strangest thing.

Brilliant job, your really talented , I love the van . 👍🇬🇧
This is cool mate. I live in Cambodia and am thinking of picking up an old kei van and doing a conversion on it. This helped a lot!
Love the 5min summary vid. 👍
Glad you liked it!
@@TheCampervanBuilder what are your measurements for your seats

it was already fitted and I personally wouldn't want to tow anything with one of these

@@TheCampervanBuilder have a nice trip
This looks like a camper from Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
I'll have to take your word on that one
All that work better off with full size van
The whole point of this conversion was to make a Micro campervan, which I did, You can't get any smaller a conversion than this
