That thing seriously needs a good gyro and a less ham handed pilot. The 727 gave lots of civilian pilots grief with the 45 degree wing sweep which was typically only used on military aircraft. Flying at the speed he does makes it more stable, but doing coordinated turns would be of a lot more help.
Agree it needs a gyro but seriously this guy put on a good demo considering the almost gale like conditions. 99% of pilots wouldn't have wanted to risk their jet but with paying public watching the show must go on.
Bad on Saturday and worse forecast on the Sunday so I didn't go back. I filmed enough on Saturday and no chance of me flying Sunday so I got a head start on editing/uploading. LMA Cosford next weekend. Always fun...
Yes. Will take a couple of turbine jets and some foamies. Look forward to seeing you there. Bring your video camera and I'll see if I can get your air side for a pit walk!
How that was really somthing. Beatuful model and what a show he put on. Got some balls flying in such gusty conditions. Wonder how close he ment to come to the runway with that red hot low pass.
Having flown R/C for years, I've seen my share of Bird vs Model collisions. Unfortunately, neither one survives. I have flown sailplanes and had falcons in Colorado, and birds of prey follow me up, circling in lift all around my model. I got wise when they drop out, the lift is gone, don't follow them, they can flap their wings, I can't.
THOUGHT IT WAS A REAL PASSENGER JET MAY AS WELL BE ITS HUGE AND SUPER FAST BRILLIANT BEST IVE SEEN SOUNDS REAL BOOM 💥 LANDING OF YEAR AWARD AS WELL BOOM 💥
In it's day the Boeing 727 was the fastest climb out on the tarmack. Designed for short haul and small runways, it had three engines it could stand on it's tail!
In the 20 mph gusty wind it was best to fly it fast. On down wind turns it was dropping a lot of altitude despite him flying it hard. I thought was very well flown considering.
OMG! The cockpit would've been going off with "Bank angle, Bank angle, Bank angle" and "Terain, Terain, Terain" accompanied by a cabin full of vomiting passengers.🤮
La maqueta está preciosa . El vuelo es poco realista . El avión original no sube ni despegar ni aterriza así de rápido . Llevo observando vídeo así mucho tiempo y todo cometeis el mismo error .
@@charlesseymour1482 Personally I would have enjoyed the flight of this exceptional model even more had it been going a little slower. If you watch at 75% speed it looks so much better but I don't know much about this type of model so perhaps it isn't possible? Cheers 🤔👍

love the TWA livery since I use to fly for them actually flew the 72 for several years. Beautiful landing
Close to that bird, and close to the ground too! Great stuff! 👍
GREAT looking and FLYING PLANE thanks for posting SIR 🇬🇧✌🏼
Thank you too!
3:58 for bird near-miss. 8:32 for slow-mo replay.

Real nice models try to balance it out a little better it seems too heavy. I wonder does it have flaps?
wow that was a close one! nice flight! great landing! like a feather! :)
Great jet liner, you could see he was very at home with her. Even the bird had second thoughts. Great stuff Dom 👍🏻
He'd had 6 flights on it already. Not a lot but certainly flew it expertly in those horrible conditions Chris.
@@EssentialRC Yea I heard it was very windy at W&W.

@@EssentialRC Only Popham for me this year. I hoping the weather will be good for then. You be flying at that one as well ?

Looks like one actual engine, is that right? Pretty cool! Love those inboard and outboard flaps, too.
Large scale=extra emotion 😁. Very nice video with cool content as usual 👍
Big thanks
WOW 👍🤟

Not THAT close I suspect !
That jet is tail heavy
Close call to that bird
awesome
Super video
Thanks
wow how close to ground on fly by and even touch and go

Flying it like a fighter

Thanks for sharing Charles 😉
Nice. Maybe have a play with those control surface rates... 👍
I think he was playing with them while he was flying it!
Oh its 727 i thinked its Tu154 🤣🤣🤣
This is an airliner, not a jet fighter... Anyone can fly fast, it is during slow flight the pilot can show his skills...

@@EssentialRC It's hard for a viewer to detect wind, but in general rc airliners are flown way too fast... hence my comment
Can you landing and take off of military planes like cargo and more
Don't understand the question!?

Cool down buddy. Fun flying that powerful bird.

Flying in strong winds requires higher speed
