Fire extinguisher technology has indeed changed over the years. Back when I graduated high school I went to work for a company that sold and maintained fire protection equipment. Back in those days we were still refilling some off the old fashioned soda-acid type extinguishers. Many of them were made from brass or copper. Nowadays they are considered collectors items and people sell them on Ebay for $100 - $200 and up. Cleaned and polished they are beautiful. But only as decorations as due to their age the vessel may no longer be able to hold pressure and could explode if used as they were once intended.

Wait, what? The manufacturing process starts with pre-made cylinders? Geez, Amerex.
Rotating cylinder machine is badass, though. Would love to see a diagram of how that works, but I'm sure it's a proprietary secret.
Edit: Ahahaha, how many lb-ft do you torque the valves to? Oh, just a hammer tap's worth!

That last scene, with the "firefighter" using an extinguisher is about the worst you could have picked to promote the product. WAY too close to the burning material, risking splashing. sad.
