One and only bad review of what otherwise is considered the TOP CONTENDER of the segment even TDI version ! Very suspicious

    What's with the lens flare?

This would have to be the only negative review of the new 2017 SQ5 I've come across. All other motoring journalists are giving it really great reviews.
For me it's way ahead of the X3 and merc GLC.

dbenalcazar hi there. It's not a review of the SQ5 but the 2.0 TDI S-line.

      Yes you're right, that's what I meant. Q5 2.0 TDI

Haldex or GKN four wheel drive system?
What is it with some German brands with the propped up tablet afterthoughts stuck almost randomly on top of the dash? Terrible!

Another very thorough and informative review... but still boring to watch.

Most cars fitted with sports suspension are gonna give you a crap ride on a pothole filled country road. It was never intended to be a 'sporty' SUV. It's a comfy versatile people mover that gets you from A to B with no fuss. On a car of this type, you will get some body roll in bends. If you want a 'sporty' SUV that handles more like a car, then you buy the SQ5. The Jaguar F Pace uses cheap looking and feeling Ford switchgear and some of the plastics below the dash and lower doors are hard and not up to standard at this price point. The BMW X3 has a weird shape when viewed from the side. It seems to stem from the front driver and passenger door glass which seems oddly large and is below the level of the top of the front wing/bonnet line. The roof needs to be lowered a couple of inches to improve its shape. It looks like the roof has been taken from a bigger car and stuck on- it just doesn't look right. The Merc is too flat and bulbous to be called an SUV. It's more like a slightly raised estate car and those deisel engines are not the best around ( ok for taxis ). The Range Rover Evoque is getting past it now and the shape no longer turns heads. It's too stubby with a tiny boot and rear window. Head room in the back is ok for kids and teens, but adults get their hair re arranged on any journey. So it's back to the Audi for most people I would think, who are looking for a comfy cruiser ( spec the standard comfort suspension when ordering) which has plenty room and one of the biggest boots in its class- and is far better finished inside than any other car above. Merc comes close for interior but not for looks. Good enough review, but as you got nearer the end you sounded like you had lost a £2 coin and found a 5 pence. Cheer up mate - try to make it look like you enjoy reviewing cars lol

I test drove a 2018 Q5 and it was a perfectly smooth ride, ( wrong colour though ) I have since drove 3 more Q5’s and like this review states the ride was terribly hard, and yes that’s even putting it in comfort mode, I’m at a loss now, do I want a Q5 and why was that 1st ride so smooth ?. Ps all sport versions

    Isn't it the 2018 Q5?

VeryScott we generally don't call them by their model year name more the year we're filming in (grey arear around Dec-Jan) as for us it looks a little silly in February to say you're testing the following year's car. We'll always try refer to the generation of car and often when it was launched to avoid confusion.

Not all cars are build the same, despite being the same model from the same manufacturer production line. Some of them feel smooth and some feel like they want to wrestle with you when you drive them. I suppose that if you are lucky you might get a good one 🤷‍♂️

The best thing about the New Audi Q5 Is the Interior quality

Shame you can't plug and play an i-pod. You have to use bluetooth and charge it with the cig lighter

yes because I bought this Q5 the 2019 TDI 2.0 163hp sline model and my first impression was that I can hear nothing coming from outside, no noise at all! I was impressed!! so to me this review is a real joke...

Not a good review, maybe you did not get it, it is a SUV.....To say it is loud is a joke, I have one, it is dead quiet inside, just on point where this review is all wrong. Thumbs down from me, as from many other I see.

What a contradiction. You stand alone in your review. Am sorry, I don't believe you.
